Which companies will we hear from today?

The big one today is the half-yearly report from supermarket network Coles Group Ltd (ASX: COL).

Woolworths shares ripped this week after the ASX All Ords consumer staples giant reported a 16% profit lift to $859 million for 1H FY26.

We'll also hear from TPG Telecom Ltd (ASX: TPG), Michael Hill International Ltd (ASX: MHJ), and Pexa Group Ltd (ASX: PXA).

The latest report from The Star Entertainment Group Ltd (ASX: SGR) will also be interesting, as investors seek further news on the turnaround plan for the beleaguered casino operator.

Yesterday, Star Entertainment shares bounced on news of a debt refinancing deal, including extra liquidity to fund the turnaround plan.

As earnings season continues, brokers are adjusting their outlooks on ASX shares based on results.

Here are three fresh ratings from the team out of Morgans.

Brambles Ltd (ASX: BXB)

Brambles is the world's largest supplier of reusable wooden pallets and crates used for storing and transporting goods.

According to Morgans, the company's 1H26 earnings were better than expected, driven by supply chain and productivity improvements.

The broker also said management has adjusted FY26 revenue growth guidance to between 3-4% (vs 3-5% previously) with underlying EBIT growth guidance maintained at between 8-11%.

Free cash flow (before dividends) is now expected to be between US$950-$1100m (vs between US$850-950m previously) due mainly to lower pallet purchases.

Based on this guidance, Morgans adjusted FY26/27/28F underlying EBIT by +2%/+1%/+0%.

Our target price rises to $27.00 (from $25.70) and we move our rating to ACCUMULATE (from HOLD). Following another solid result, we believe BXB is well positioned to deliver earnings growth through continued conversion of white-wood pallets to pooling and further margin improvement driven by ongoing operational efficiencies, including enhanced use of its digital and data capabilities.

From yesterday's closing price, this target indicates an upside of roughly 10%.

PWR Holdings Ltd (ASX: PWH)

PWR Holdings is a designer, manufacturer, and supplier of cooling solutions for motorsports and the performance automotive industry.

According to Morgans, the 1H26 result was above expectations, driven by strong growth in Motorsports (new Formula 1 regulations) and Aerospace & Defence (delivery of most of a US government contract).

Our target price increases to $11.15 (from $8.50) due to a roll-forward of our model to FY27 forecasts. We continue to view PWH as a high-quality business, supported by a strong balance sheet, an experienced management team, and access to large addressable markets that offer significant growth potential. With the disruption from relocating to the new Australian manufacturing facility now behind it, we believe PWH is well positioned to embark on its next phase of growth.

Morgans maintained its accumulate rating on these ASX shares.

From yesterday's closing price of $9.75, there is a potential upside of 14.36%.

MoneyMe Ltd (ASX: MME)

MoneyMe is a digital consumer credit business. The company touts its technology and AI as offering financial solutions targeted at younger people.

MME's 1H26 was broadly per expectations, achieving gross revenue of ~A$117m, on a gross loan book of ~A$1.75bn. Momentum seen in originations growth (+18% to A$536m) continues to augur well for 2H26, and we expect MME to maintain a balance between profitability and growth as it seeks to benefit from scale.

Our price target remains unchanged at A$0.21 and we maintain our Speculative Buy recommendation.

From yesterday's closing price of $0.115, Morgans sees an upside potential of 82.6% for these ASX shares.

This is because I believe it is well worth keeping a close eye on short interest levels as high levels can sometimes be a sign that something isn't quite right with a company.

With that in mind, here are the 10 most shorted shares on the ASX this week according to ASIC:

Boss Energy Ltd (ASX: BOE) stays at the top of the list with short interest of 17.2%, which is down slightly since last week. Production concerns have been weighing on this uranium producer's shares.

Domino's Pizza Enterprises Ltd (ASX: DMP) has seen its short interest ease to 15.7%. Short sellers are betting against this struggling pizza chain operator's turnaround strategy.

Guzman Y Gomez Ltd (ASX: GYG) has short interest of 13.8%, which is flat week on week. This burrito seller's shares crashed last week following the release of a disappointing half-year result.

Treasury Wine Estates Ltd (ASX: TWE) has seen its short interest ease to 13.7%. Short sellers seem to believe the wine giant's turnaround will take longer than expected.

In afternoon trade, the heavily shorted ASX 300 stock is up 12% to $9.85.

Why is this ASX 300 stock jumping?

Investors have been buying the advanced cooling technology company's shares today following the release of its half-year results after the market close on Thursday.

For the six months ended 31 December, the ASX 300 stock reported a 27.8% increase in revenue to $80.4 million. This was driven by higher volumes across the Motorsports and Aerospace and Defence (A&D) market sectors.

Motorsport revenue increased 40% during the period, supported by broader category adoptions of PWR's proprietary core constructions. While A&D delivered 31% revenue growth driven by Defence, Commercial Aerospace (including eVTOL) and the developing MRO market.

OEM revenue increased 18.8% in the period reflecting maturity of production programs, and Aftermarket revenue was modestly lower. This is consistent with its deliberate revision of discount structures to support margin improvement.

Growing at an even stronger rate was the company's EBITDA, which increased 47.6% to $16.2 million. Management advised that this reflected margin expansion from improved operating leverage.

On the bottom line, PWR's statutory net profit after tax increased 38.6% to $5.7 million. This growth rate was lower due to higher depreciation mostly related to the new Stapylton headquarters, coupled with increased finance charges on higher debt to fund the new facility.

In light of this strong profit, the ASX 300 stock's board elected to increase its fully franked interim dividend by 50% to 3 cents per share.

Management commentary

PWR's chairman, Kees Weel, was pleased with the transition to the Stapylton facility. He said:

The successful transition to the Stapylton facility is a significant milestone for PWR, and I acknowledge the team for delivering the project on time and within budget while maintaining operational continuity. The new facility strengthens our vertically integrated global manufacturing platform and supports long-term growth across our key markets.

The ASX 300 stock's acting CEO, Matthew Bryson, added:

This result reflects strong revenue performance across Motorsports and Aerospace & Defence, together with the early operating leverage from our new, purpose-built Stapylton facility. The move to a significantly larger and more advanced manufacturing platform is a structural step-change for the business, positioning PWR to capture further growth in these key market sectors while strengthening our position in technically complex, niche advanced cooling markets.

Outlook

The company advised that it expects "modest NPAT margin improvement in FY26."

Looking further ahead, it sees a pathway to NPAT margin recovery. It highlights that "strategic investment in capacity, capability and accreditations underpins growth, with margins expected to trend back toward FY24 levels over a three-to-five-year period, driven by improving operating leverage."

At the time of writing, the benchmark index is down slightly to 9,081.3 points.

Four ASX shares that are not letting that hold them back are listed below. Here's why they are rising:

PWR Holdings Ltd (ASX: PWH)

The PWR share price is up 12% to $9.85. This follows the release of the advanced cooling technology company's half-year results. PWR reported a 27.8% increase in revenue to $80.4 million and a 38.6% lift in net profit after tax to $5.7 million. Management advised that this was driven by higher volumes across the Motorsports and Aerospace and Defence (A&D) market sectors. PWR's acting CEO, Matthew Bryson, said: "This result reflects strong revenue performance across Motorsports and Aerospace & Defence, together with the early operating leverage from our new, purpose-built Stapylton facility. The move to a significantly larger and more advanced manufacturing platform is a structural step-change for the business, positioning PWR to capture further growth in these key market sectors while strengthening our position in technically complex, niche advanced cooling markets."

QBE Insurance Group Ltd (ASX: QBE)

The QBE share price is up 8% to $21.71. This morning, QBE released its full-year results and reported gross written premium growth of 7% to US$23.96 billion and a 21% jump in net profit after tax to US$2.158 billion. QBE's CEO, Andrew Horton, said: "QBE delivered strong performance in 2025, exceeding our financial plan for the year. Profitability remains attractive across the majority of lines and the year ahead appears constructive for further growth, and a continuation of solid returns."

Telix Pharmaceuticals Ltd (ASX: TLX)

The Telix share price is up 9% to $9.94. Investors have been buying the radiopharmaceuticals company's shares following the release of its full-year results. Telix posted a 56% increase in revenue to US$803.8 million, which was in line with its upgraded guidance. And while Telix's adjusted EBITDA was down 41% to US$39.5 million, this is reflective of increased operating expenditure driven by strategic acquisitions, investment in commercial infrastructure, and research and development. Looking ahead, the company is guiding to revenue of US$950 million to US$970 million.

Zip Co Ltd (ASX: ZIP)

The Zip share price is up 2% to $1.89. This has been driven by news that the buy now pay later provider is launching a $50 million on-market share buyback. Zip's CEO and managing director, Cynthia Scott, said: "Today's announcement reflects Zip's disciplined and balanced approach to capital management. The Buy-Back program is consistent with our capital management framework and objective to maximise shareholder value. It demonstrates confidence in the strength of our balance sheet, and long-term strategy. We remain focused on investing in growth and driving sustainable profitability, while also returning surplus capital to shareholders where appropriate."

This is because I believe it is well worth keeping a close eye on short interest levels as high levels can sometimes be a sign that something isn't quite right with a company.

With that in mind, here are the 10 most shorted shares on the ASX this week according to ASIC:

Boss Energy Ltd (ASX: BOE) has returned to the top of the list after its short interest increased to 17.4%. Production concerns have been weighing on this uranium producer's shares.

Domino's Pizza Enterprises Ltd (ASX: DMP) has seen its short interest ease to 16.1%. Short sellers don't appear to have faith in the pizza chain operator's turnaround strategy.

Treasury Wine Estates Ltd (ASX: TWE) has seen its short interest rise again to 14.4%. This wine giant is releasing its half-year results today. Short sellers seem to believe the company will disappoint the market.

Guzman Y Gomez Ltd (ASX: GYG) has short interest of 13.8%, which is down week on week. Valuation concerns and a poor performance in the US could be why short sellers are targeting this burrito seller.

Telix Pharmaceuticals Ltd (ASX: TLX) has short interest of 12.5%, which is up week on week. This radiopharmaceuticals company has been struggling with delays to FDA approvals.

Polynovo Ltd (ASX: PNV) has short interest of 12.1%, which is flat since last week. This medical device company's shares are trading on high multiples. Short sellers may not expect its growth to justify this premium valuation.

IDP Education Ltd (ASX: IEL) has 11.5% of its shares held short, which is up week on week. This student placement and language testing company has been having a tough 18 months due to student visa changes in key markets.

Flight Centre Travel Group Ltd (ASX: FLT) has short interest of 11%, which is down week on week. Short sellers appear to be betting against this travel agent delivering on its revenue margin targets.

IPH Ltd (ASX: IPH) has short interest of 11%, which is flat week on week. Weaker volumes and market share losses appear to be why short sellers are targeting this intellectual property services company.

PWR Holdings Ltd (ASX: PWH) has short interest of 10.1%, which is down slightly week on week. This automotive cooling products company's shares trade on lofty multiples.

Domino's Pizza Enterprises Ltd (ASX: DMP) continues to be the most shorted ASX share with short interest of 17%. This is up slightly week on week. Short sellers appear to be betting against the pizza chain operator's turnaround strategy.

Boss Energy Ltd (ASX: BOE) has seen its short interest rebound to 16.6%. Short sellers have done well with this one. The uranium producer's shares are down over 50% since this time last year amid production concerns.

Guzman Y Gomez Ltd (ASX: GYG) has short interest of 14.1%, which is up slightly week on week. This may be due to disappointment over the taco and burrito seller's performance in the United States market.

Treasury Wine Estates Ltd (ASX: TWE) has seen its short interest rise again to 13.8%. This wine giant is facing distributor uncertainty in the United States and unfavourable consumer trends.

Flight Centre Travel Group Ltd (ASX: FLT) has short interest of 12.2%, which is up week on week. Short sellers appear to have doubts over the travel agent's revenue margin outlook.

Polynovo Ltd (ASX: PNV) has short interest of 12.1%, which is flat since last week. Short sellers seem to believe that this medical device company's shares are overvalued.

Telix Pharmaceuticals Ltd (ASX: TLX) has short interest of 11.9%, which is up slightly week on week. This radiopharmaceuticals company has been struggling with FDA approvals.

IDP Education Ltd (ASX: IEL) has 11% of its shares held short, which is down week on week.
IPH Ltd (ASX: IPH) has returned to the top ten with short interest of 11%. Softer volumes have been weighing on this IP service provider's performance.

PWR Holdings Ltd (ASX: PWH) has also returned to the top ten with short interest of 10.2%.
This is because I believe it is well worth keeping a close eye on short interest levels as high levels can sometimes be a sign that something isn't quite right with a company.

With that in mind, here are the 10 most shorted shares on the ASX this week according to ASIC:

Domino's Pizza Enterprises Ltd (ASX: DMP) has become the most shorted ASX share with short interest of 17.3%. Though, this is down slightly week on week. Short sellers appear to be doubting that this pizza chain operator's turnaround strategy will be a success.

Boss Energy Ltd (ASX: BOE) has seen its short interest reduce materially to 16.3%. This uranium producer's shares have rallied strongly since the start of the year amid optimism over uranium demand and prices.

Guzman Y Gomez Ltd (ASX: GYG) has short interest of 13.8%, which is up week on week. This taco and burrito seller's performance has been softer than expected, especially in the United States.

Treasury Wine Estates Ltd (ASX: TWE) has seen its short interest jump to 13%. This wine giant is facing distributor uncertainty in the United States and unfavourable consumer trends.

IDP Education Ltd (ASX: IEL) has 12.3% of its shares held short, which is up week on week. Student visa changes in key markets are negatively impacting the company's performance and outlook.

Paladin Energy Ltd (ASX: PDN) has short interest of 11.9%, which is down week on week again. This uranium producer's shares hit a 52-week high last week, much to the dismay of short sellers.

Polynovo Ltd (ASX: PNV) has short interest of 11.7%, which is up since last week. This may be due to concerns over this medical device company's valuation.

Telix Pharmaceuticals Ltd (ASX: TLX) has short interest of 11.3%, which is flat week on week. Short sellers may believe that this radiopharmaceuticals company could struggle with its FDA approvals and increased regulatory scrutiny.

Flight Centre Travel Group Ltd (ASX: FLT) is back in the top ten with short interest of 11.1%. This may be due to concerns over the travel agent's revenue margin outlook.

PWR Holdings Ltd (ASX: PWH) has short interest of 10.7%, which is down week on week again. Short sellers have been closing positions after this advanced cooling products and solutions provider's shares jumped to a 52-week high thanks to a defence contract win.

With that in mind, here are the 10 most shorted shares on the ASX this week according to ASIC:

Boss Energy Ltd (ASX: BOE) remains the most shorted ASX share for another week even after its short interest eased slightly to 19.5%. Short sellers have successfully targeted this uranium producer after it released a disappointing production update on the Honeymoon Project.

Domino's Pizza Enterprises Ltd (ASX: DMP) has seen its short interest ease slightly again to 17.6%. Short sellers appear to be doubting that this pizza chain operator's turnaround strategy will be a success.

Guzman Y Gomez Ltd (ASX: GYG) has short interest of 13.7%, which is flat week on week. This burrito seller's shares trade on extremely high multiples. And with its US expansion disappointing the market, some may believe this premium isn't justified.

Paladin Energy Ltd (ASX: PDN) has short interest of 12.5%, which is down week on week again. There may be concerns over potential operational challenges for this uranium miner.

IDP Education Ltd (ASX: IEL) has 12.2% of its shares held short, which is down week on week again. Major student visa changes in key markets have weighed on this language testing and student placement services company's performance.

PWR Holdings Ltd (ASX: PWH) has short interest of 11.7%, which is down since last week. Unfortunately for short sellers, this advanced cooling products and solutions provider's shares jumped to a 52-week high last week thanks to a defence contract win.

Polynovo Ltd (ASX: PNV) has short interest of 11.5%, which is down since last week. This medical device company's shares may have been targeted due to valuation concerns.

Telix Pharmaceuticals Ltd (ASX: TLX) has short interest of 11.3%, which is flat week on week. This radiopharmaceuticals company had a tough time in 2025 when it experienced delays to FDA approvals and increased regulatory scrutiny.

DroneShield Ltd (ASX: DRO) has short interest of 11%, which is down slightly since last week. Short sellers seem to think that this counter drone technology company's shares are overvalued following very strong gains in 2025.

Treasury Wine Estates Ltd (ASX: TWE) has entered the top ten with short interest of 10.4%. This wine giant is having a tough time due to distributor uncertainty and unfavourable consumer trends.

In afternoon trade, the S&P/ASX 200 Index (ASX: XJO) is on course to start the week with a small gain. At the time of writing, the benchmark index is up 0.3% to 8,745.1 points.

Four ASX shares that are rising more than most today are listed below. Here's why they are storming higher:

Develop Global Ltd (ASX: DVP)

The Develop Global share price is up 7% to $5.30. Investors have been buying this mining and mining services company's shares following the release of a bullish broker note out of Bell Potter. According to the note, the broker has retained its buy rating on the company's shares with an improved price target of $5.80. This implies further potential upside of 9.5% over the next 12 months. It said: "With Woodlawn de-risking behind us, DVP presents a unique small-cap copper-zinc exposure that is relatively undervalued compared with peers in the Resources space."

Imricor Medical Systems Inc (ASX: IMR)

The Imricor Medical Systems share price is up 18% to $1.86. This has been driven by news that the medical device company has received clearance by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its Vision-MR Diagnostic Catheter. The catheter is designed to be used under real-time magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) guidance. Imricor's CEO, Steve Wedan, said: "This is obviously a tremendous milestone for the Imricor team, and I want to acknowledge the outstanding work of the entire team in reaching this achievement. Most of us have worked at companies that have existing medical devices on the US market, and getting a new device on the market is always a big deal."

Light & Wonder Inc (ASX: LNW)

The Light & Wonder share price is up 16% to $179.10. Investors have been fighting to get hold of the gaming technology company's shares after agreeing to pay $190 million to settle the Aristocrat Leisure Ltd (ASX: ALL) litigation. Light & Wonder's CEO, Matt Wilson, said: "Light & Wonder is pleased to resolve this matter and move forward. We are firmly committed to doing business the right way – respecting our competitors' intellectual property rights while protecting our own rights. This matter arose when a former employee inappropriately used certain Aristocrat math without our knowledge and in direct violation of our policies."

PWR Holdings Ltd (ASX: PWH)

The PWR Holdings share price is up over 10% to $9.64. This morning, this advanced cooling products and solutions provider announced a US$9.1 million (~A$13.5 million) follow-on defence and aerospace contract. This will see it supply advanced cooling solutions for a US government project. The company's acting CEO, Matthew Bryson, said: "PWR announced the initial US$5.5 million order for this project in January 2025 and securing a follow-on order reflects the successful delivery of that first phase and demonstrates our ability to execute reliably and adapt to evolving program requirements on complex projects."

The market is charging higher today, with many ASX 300 shares recording gains.

But two that stand out from the rest with particularly strong gains on Monday are named below.

Here's why these shares are making their shareholders smile today:

PWR Holdings Ltd (ASX: PWH)

The PWR share price is up 13% to a 52-week high of $9.86 on Monday.

Investors have been buying the advanced cooling products and solutions provider's shares after it announced a US$9.1 million (~A$13.5 million) follow-on defence and aerospace contract. This will see it supply advanced cooling solutions for a US government project.

The ASX 300 share notes that this contract follows the ongoing successful delivery of the previous order announced a year ago. It believes it reinforces PWR's position on this project as it progresses to full rate production.

The company highlights that delivery under this new contract is expected to occur predominantly in FY 2027.

It may not be the last. Management revealed that the project is scheduled to extend over multiple years. This is subject to forecasted demand for the platform, government funding, and PWR's performance.

The company's acting CEO, Matthew Bryson, said:

PWR announced the initial US$5.5 million order for this project in January 2025 and securing a follow-on order reflects the successful delivery of that first phase and demonstrates our ability to execute reliably and adapt to evolving program requirements on complex projects. Continued delivery on this platform supports PWR's growing reputation as a leader in advanced cooling technology for Aerospace and Defence applications.

Regal Partners Ltd (ASX: RPL)

The Regal Partners share price is up 9% to $3.70. This has been driven by the release of the fund manager's profit guidance for FY 2025 before the market open.

Management revealed that it expects to report normalised net profit after tax of $145 million. This will be an increase of 49% year on year from $97.5 million in FY 2024.

A key driver of this profit growth has been the strong performance of a range of investment strategies. This has underpinned second half performance fees of $130 million.

The ASX 300 share also advised that its funds under management (FUM) rose to approximately $20.8 billion at the end of December. This reflects net inflows for the December quarter of approximately $80 million, which takes total net inflows for calendar year 2025 to $1.5 billion.

This is because I believe it is well worth keeping a close eye on short interest levels as high levels can sometimes be a sign that something isn't quite right with a company.

With that in mind, here are the 10 most shorted shares on the ASX this week according to ASIC:

Boss Energy Ltd (ASX: BOE) continues its long run as the most shorted ASX share with short interest of 19.7%, which is down week on week. Short sellers continue to target this uranium producer after it released a disappointing update on the Honeymoon Project.

Domino's Pizza Enterprises Ltd (ASX: DMP) has seen its short interest ease slightly to 17.7%. This pizza chain operator is undertaking a major turnaround strategy but short sellers don't appear to believe it will be a success.

Guzman Y Gomez Ltd (ASX: GYG) has short interest of 13.7%, which is down slightly week on week. This is likely to be due to valuation concerns, with the burrito seller's shares trading on premium multiples. Its US expansion has been disappointing also.

Paladin Energy Ltd (ASX: PDN) has short interest of 12.9%, which is down week on week again. This may be due to potential operational challenges and uranium pricing doubts.

IDP Education Ltd (ASX: IEL) has 12.4% of its shares held short, which is down week on week. This language testing and student placement company's shares have been crushed over the past 12 months due to concerns over student visa changes.

PWR Holdings Ltd (ASX: PWH) has short interest of 11.9%, which is up since last week. This motorsport products company's shares have been under pressure as it goes through a transitional period.

Polynovo Ltd (ASX: PNV) has short interest of 11.6%, which is up since last week. This may be due to concerns over the valuation of this medical device company's shares.

Telix Pharmaceuticals Ltd (ASX: TLX) has short interest of 11.3%, which is up week on week. This radiopharmaceuticals company has been battling delays to FDA approvals and increased regulatory scrutiny.

DroneShield Ltd (ASX: DRO) has short interest of 11.1%. Short sellers appear to believe that this counter drone technology company's shares are overvalued following impressive gains in 2025.

Flight Centre Travel Group Ltd (ASX: FLT) has short interest of 10.2%, which is down week on week again. Short sellers appear to be slowly closing positions after the travel agent reported a positive start to FY 2026 and a new cruise acquisition.

Boss Energy Ltd (ASX: BOE) starts the year as the most shorted ASX share with short interest of 20.4%, which is down sharply week on week. Short sellers were big winners in 2025 after the uranium producer's shares crashed in response to a very disappointing update on the Honeymoon Project.

Domino's Pizza Enterprises Ltd (ASX: DMP) has seen its short interest remain flat at 17.9%. Short sellers don't appear to believe that this pizza chain operator's performance will improve meaningfully in 2026.

Guzman Y Gomez Ltd (ASX: GYG) has short interest of 13.8%, which is up week on week again. This could be due to valuation concerns, with the burrito seller's shares trading on sky-high multiples.

Paladin Energy Ltd (ASX: PDN) has short interest of 13.1%, which is down week on week again. Potential operational challenges and uranium pricing doubts may be behind this.

IDP Education Ltd (ASX: IEL) has 12.6% of its shares held short, which is up week on week again. Short sellers have been targeting this language testing and student placement company's shares due to concerns over student visa changes.

PWR Holdings Ltd (ASX: PWH) has short interest of 11.8%, which is up since last week. Short sellers have loaded up on this motorsport products company's shares recently as it goes through a transitional period.

Polynovo Ltd (ASX: PNV) has short interest of 11.5%, which is up since last week. This may also be due to valuation concerns for this medical device company's shares.

Telix Pharmaceuticals Ltd (ASX: TLX) has short interest of 11%, which is flat week on week. This radiopharmaceuticals company's shares were sold off last year in response to delays to FDA approvals and increased regulatory scrutiny.

DroneShield Ltd (ASX: DRO) has entered the top ten with short interest of 10.5%. The bulls and the bears have been battling it out with this counter drone technology company's shares in recent months. It seems that the bears believe its shares are overvalued after rising 300% in 2025.

Flight Centre Travel Group Ltd (ASX: FLT) has short interest of 10.4%, which is down week on week again.
Domino's Pizza Enterprises Ltd (ASX: DMP) has seen its short interest rise slightly to 17.9%.
Guzman Y Gomez Ltd (ASX: GYG) has short interest of 13.4%, which is up slightly week on week again.
Paladin Energy Ltd (ASX: PDN) has short interest of 13.4%, which is up slightly week on week again. Some short sellers appear to be betting against nuclear power adoption and a uranium bull market.

IDP Education Ltd (ASX: IEL) has 12% of its shares held short, which is up week on week.
Polynovo Ltd (ASX: PNV) has short interest of 11.4%, which is up since last week.
PWR Holdings Ltd (ASX: PWH) has short interest of 11.2%, which is down since last week. This motorsport products company is going through a transitional period, which is impacting its growth.

IPH Ltd (ASX: IPH) has seen its short interest remain flat at 11.2%. This pizza chain operator has been struggling in recent years and short sellers appear to believe it won't be a quick fix.

Guzman Y Gomez Ltd (ASX: GYG) has short interest of 13.2%, which is up week on week again. Valuation concerns are likely to be behind this. Especially given the disappointing performance of its US business, which was seen as a key driver of long term growth.

Paladin Energy Ltd (ASX: PDN) has short interest of 13.1%, which is down slightly week on week. A number of uranium stocks are being targeted by short sellers. This could be on the belief that nuclear power adoption won't be as great as some predict.

IDP Education Ltd (ASX: IEL) has 12% of its shares held short, which is down week on week. This language testing and student placement company's shares are down 60% this year after unfavourable visa changes and trading conditions weighed on its performance and outlook.

Flight Centre Travel Group Ltd (ASX: FLT) has short interest of 11.7%, which is up slightly since last week. Short sellers continue to load up on this travel agent's shares despite its positive start to FY 2026 and news of a key acquisition this month.

PWR Holdings Ltd (ASX: PWH) has short interest of 11.3%, which is up week on week again. This motorsport products company has been out of form recently and warned that FY 2026 could be another transitional year.

Polynovo Ltd (ASX: PNV) has short interest of 11.2%, which is flat since last week. This could be due to valuation concerns, with the medical device company's shares trading on sky-high multiples.

Telix Pharmaceuticals Ltd (ASX: TLX) has short interest of 11%, which is up week on week. This biotech company has been struggling with delays to FDA approvals this year.

IPH Ltd (ASX: IPH) has entered the top ten with short interest of 10.9%. This intellectual property services provider has been battling weak trading conditions. Short sellers appear to believe this weakness will continue.

The S&P/ASX 200 Index (ASX: XJO) is on course to record another decline on Tuesday. In afternoon trade, the benchmark index is down 0.2% to 8,605.8 points.

Four ASX shares that are falling more than most today are listed below. Here's why they are dropping:

Bapcor Ltd (ASX: BAP)

The Bapcor share price is down 20% to $1.87. Investors have been selling this auto products retailer's shares following the release of another disappointing update. Management advised that its performance in October and November was below expectation mainly in the Trade segment. In light of this, Bapcor now expects its statutory net profit after tax for the first half to be a loss in the range of $5 million to $8 million. For the full year, its statutory net profit after tax is now expected to be $31 million to $36 million. This is a downgrade on the guidance it provided in late October of $40 million to $50 million. Bapcor's CEO, Angus McKay, said: "The weaker operational performance in October and November is disappointing. Although, the turnaround of the business is more challenging and taking longer than expected we are committed to doing the difficult work that will result in a stronger, more sustainable company."

Emeco Holdings Ltd (ASX: EHL)

The Emeco share price is down 2.5% to $1.28. This follows the release of the mining equipment rental company's investor day update this morning. While the update was filled with positives and highlighted its many opportunities, there was no update to its guidance for FY 2026. It is possible that some investors had been expecting an upgrade at today's event. As things stand, Emeco still expects "moderate earnings growth" this financial year.

Liontown Ltd (ASX: LTR)

The Liontown share price is down 3% to $1.47. This is despite the lithium miner announcing an offtake agreement with China's Canmax. The agreement will see the supply of 150,000 wet metric tonnes (wmt) of spodumene concentrate per year over two years in 2027 and 2028. Liontown's Managing Director and CEO, Tony Ottaviano, said: "Their participation in our 2025 institutional placement signalled strong confidence in the long term potential of Kathleen Valley, and this Offtake Agreement reinforces their commitment." While this is good news, it is possible that profit taking is weighing on its shares. After all, they remain up by 28% since this time last month despite today's weakness.

PWR Holdings Ltd (ASX: PWH)

The PWR Holdings share price is down over 4% to $7.73. This follows news that this automotive cooling products company has appointed its new CEO. PWR Holdings advised that it has promoted its CFO, Sharyn Williams, to the top job. Given the company's poor recent performance, it is possible that some investors were looking for an outside appointment with fresh ideas.

This is because I believe it is well worth keeping a close eye on short interest levels as high levels can sometimes be a sign that something isn't quite right with a company.

With that in mind, here are the 10 most shorted shares on the ASX this week according to ASIC:

Boss Energy Ltd (ASX: BOE) continues to be the most shorted ASX share with short interest of 24%. This is up week on week again. Short sellers appear convinced that this uranium miner's production beyond 2026 will fall short of expectations. In other news, Boss Energy was dumped out of the ASX 200 at the latest rebalance.

Domino's Pizza Enterprises Ltd (ASX: DMP) has seen its short interest rise to 17%. Short sellers aren't giving up on this pizza chain operator despite speculation that it could be a takeover target.

Paladin Energy Ltd (ASX: PDN) has short interest of 13.2%, which is up again week on week. There may be concerns over its production ramp-up.

Guzman Y Gomez Ltd (ASX: GYG) has short interest of 13.1%, which is up since last week. This may be due to valuation concerns and disappointment over the burrito seller's poor performance in the United States.

IDP Education Ltd (ASX: IEL) has 12.4% of its shares held short, which is up week on week. This language testing and student placement company continues to struggle with unfavourable visa changes and trading conditions.

Flight Centre Travel Group Ltd (ASX: FLT) has short interest of 11.5%, which is up sharply since last week. Short sellers haven't been put off by the travel agent's positive start to FY 2026.

Polynovo Ltd (ASX: PNV) has short interest of 11.2%, which is up since last week. This could be due to valuation concerns, with the medical device company's shares trading on sky-high multiples.

PWR Holdings Ltd (ASX: PWH) has short interest of 11.2%, which is up week on week. This motorsport products company warned that FY 2026 is going to be another transitional year.

Telix Pharmaceuticals Ltd (ASX: TLX) has short interest of 10.7%, which is up week on week. This biotech company has been hit with FDA approval delays this year.

Pilbara Minerals Ltd (ASX: PLS) has short interest of 10.7%, which is down week on week again. The bulls and the bears can't agree on whether lithium is going to be oversupplied or undersupplied in the next couple of years.

Boss Energy Ltd (ASX: BOE) retains the top spot for another week with short interest of 21.7%. This is up slightly week on week. Short sellers are betting on the uranium miner's production beyond 2026 falling short of expectations.

Domino's Pizza Enterprises Ltd (ASX: DMP) has seen its short interest ease again to 14.4%. Short sellers have been closing positions in a hurry after this pizza chain operator was the subject of takeover speculation.

Paladin Energy Ltd (ASX: PDN) has short interest of 12.8%, which is up since last week. This may be due to production ramp-up concerns.

Guzman Y Gomez Ltd (ASX: GYG) has short interest of 12.3%, which is up since last week. Short sellers have been building positions possibly on valuation concerns and in response to the burrito seller's poor start to life in the United States market.

IDP Education Ltd (ASX: IEL) has 11.6% of its shares held short, which is down week on week. This appears to be due to concerns that this language testing and student placement company will continue to underperform due to unfavourable student visa changes.

Pilbara Minerals Ltd (ASX: PLS) has short interest of 10.9%, which is down week on week again. An oversupply of lithium has weighed heavily on the industry in recent years.

PWR Holdings Ltd (ASX: PWH) has short interest of 10.6%, which is down week on week.
Telix Pharmaceuticals Ltd (ASX: TLX) shares are back in the top ten with short interest of 10.4%. This biotech company has been hit with FDA approval delays this year.

Flight Centre Travel Group Ltd (ASX: FLT) has short interest of 9.9%, which is down since last week.
Polynovo Ltd (ASX: PNV) has short interest of 9.8%, which is down since last week.
Domino's Pizza Enterprises Ltd (ASX: DMP) has seen its short interest ease again to 16.9%.
Pilbara Minerals Ltd (ASX: PLS) has short interest of 12.8%, which is down week on week again. Many analysts believe that the lithium oversupply will be around for longer than expected.

Paladin Energy Ltd (ASX: PDN) has short interest of 12%, which is flat since last week. Short sellers appear to be expecting production ramp-up disappointment from this uranium miner.
