Iluka Resources Limited (ASX: ILU) is an international mineral sands company with a focus on exploration, project development, mining operations, processing, and marketing.
Iluka Resources is a major global supplier of zircon and titanium minerals, which are used in a wide variety of applications, such as home, medical, and industrial uses. The company also holds a royalty over iron ore sales revenue from tenements of BHP Group Ltd (ASX: BHP)’s Mining Area C in Pilbara, Western Australia.
The company was formed in 1998 through the merger of RGC Ltd and Westralian Sands Ltd. Today, Iluka Resources has over 3,000 direct employees, operations in Australia and Sierra Leone, and a globally-integrated marketing network.
