Australia's S&P/ASX 200 (Index: ^AXJO)(ASX: XJO) and ALL ORDINARIES (Index: ^AXAO) (ASX: XAO) indices finished higher on Tuesday.

Here's a short recap of the Australian market:

  • S&P/ASX 200 (Index: ^AXJO) (ASX: XJO) higher 0.57% to 6,304.70
  • ALL ORDINARIES (Index: ^AXAO) (ASX: XAO) higher 0.51% to 6,413.50
  • AUD/USD at US 73 cents
  • Gold at US$1,212.90 an ounce
  • Brent Oil at US$76.15 a barrel

The best-performing ASX 200 share today was Blackmores Limited (ASX: BKL), the vitamin company's share price shot up nearly 11% after revealing a solid increase of profit in its result.

At the red of the share market was the 37.4% decline of the Speedcast International Limited (ASX: SDA) share price after reporting.

Tech share Appen Ltd (ASX: APX) revealed another strong report today, its share price climbed 5.9%.

The Galaxy Resources Limited (ASX: GXY) share price climbed 5.6% today after POSCO signed a binding agreement.

MNF Group Ltd (ASX: MNF) plunged 18% today after not reaching its own guidance in its half-year result.

The share price of Specialty Fashion Group Ltd (ASX: SFH) climbed 18.6% today after reporting strong growth in the remaining City Chic business.

Petrol business Caltex Australia Limited (ASX: CTX) shares fell nearly 8% today after reporting and cutting the dividend.

Finally, funeral business Propel Funeral Partners Ltd (ASX: PFP) shares climbed 9.1% after beating expectations in its FY18 report.
