The S&P/ASX 200 Index (ASX: XJO) tumbled on Tuesday, falling 1.2% to close today's session at 7,129.6 points.
Its fall came amid the Reserve Bank of Australia's (RBA's) latest rate decision, handed down this afternoon.
The central bank has upped the nation's interest rate by 0.25% in June, leaving the cash rate at 4.1%.
It comes as inflation continues to persist, with the Australian Bureau of Statistics last week revealing the measure lifted 6.8% over the 12 months to April.
The S&P/ASX 200 Consumer Discretionary Index (ASX: XDJ) led the bourse's falls, dropping 2.2%. Its suffering might have been due to expectations Aussies could tighten their purse strings following the hike.
Also struggling was the S&P/ASX 200 Financials Index (ASX: XFJ) and the S&P/ASX 200 Health Care Index (ASX: XHJ) – dropping 1.5% and 1.4% respectively.
But not all was dire in today's session. The S&P/ASX 200 Utilities Index (ASX: XUJ) was alone in the green, rising 0.5%.
So, with all that in mind, let's dive into today's top-performing ASX 200 shares.
