Australia's S&P/ASX 200 (Index: ^AXJO)(ASX: XJO) and ALL ORDINARIES (Index: ^AXAO) (ASX: XAO) indices finished higher on Monday.

Here's a short recap of the Australian market:

  • S&P/ASX 200 (Index: ^AXJO) (ASX: XJO) higher 0.28% to 6,749.70
  • ALL ORDINARIES (Index: ^AXAO) (ASX: XAO) higher 0.32% to 6,861.10
  • AUD/USD at US 68 cents
  • Gold at US$1,515.19 an ounce
  • Brent Oil at US$65.09 a barrel

The best-performing ASX 200 share today was the IOOF Holdings Limited (ASX: IFL) share price after receiving a broker upgrade today.

Investors also liked Premier Investments Limited's (ASX: PMV) report from last week, sending the share price up by almost 5% today.

Rural Funds Group (ASX: RFF) issued a longer defence against the new negative attack against its accounting practices, which sent the share price higher by almost 3%.

The Webjet Limited (ASX: WEB) share price fell around 3% after outlining the earnings hit that Thomas Cook could do to its FY20 profit expectations.

The share price of National Veterinary Care Ltd (ASX: NVL) went up 2% after the vet business announced some more acquisitions.

Aerial imaging company Nearmap Ltd (ASX: NEA) was the worst performer in the ASX 200, its share price declined by 3.6%.

The Clover Corporation Limited (ASX: CLV) share price rose another 8% today with investors being pleased by what was reported last week.

Finally, the share price of lithium miner Orocobre Limited (ASX: ORE) was one of today's top performers after climbing 6.5%.
