A large bunch of S&P/ASX All Ords Index (ASX: XAO) shares have ex-dividend dates coming up next week.

In order to receive a dividend, you must own the ASX share before its ex-dividend date.

As we've reported, some of the biggest dividend increases among ASX mining shares this season came from the gold miners.

Next week, two of them go ex-dividend.

Ramelius Resources Ltd (ASX: RMS) shares will pay a fully-franked interim dividend of 3 cents per share on 15 April.

This exceeds the company's commitment to pay a minimum annual dividend of 2 cents per share for FY26.

Ramelius Resources reported a 13% increase in EBITDA to $347.7 million but a 6% fall in net profit after tax (NPAT) to $160 million.

The ASX gold share goes ex-dividend on Monday.

Capricorn Metals Ltd (ASX: CMM) shares will pay a maiden fully franked interim dividend of 5 cents per share.

The gold miner reported a 130% jump in underlying NPAT to $144.8 million for 1H FY26.

The ASX gold share also goes ex-dividend on Monday.

Here is a sample of the other ASX All Ords shares with ex-dividend dates next week.

Brisbane Broncos Ltd (ASX: BBL) shares have surged more than 50% following the team's win in the National Rugby League Grand Final on Sunday.

The Broncos are unusual for an Australian sports team in that a listed entity owns them.

Shareholders in that entity were also celebrating the win on Monday, as the stocks surged to a 12-month high of $2.03, up 53.7%, before settling at $1.84.

At the close of trade on Friday, the company was worth $129.4 million.

While the company did not report any news to the ASX on Monday, the Grand Final win is sure to be a financial boon to the company behind the team, which defeated Melbourne Storm 26-22 on Sunday at Stadium Australia.

In its most recent financial results, the Broncos reported a $6 million net profit for the first half of the calendar year, up from a $4.2 million profit for the previous corresponding period.

The revenue generated by the company was aided over the half by playing eight home games at Suncorp Stadium, compared with seven for the same period the previous year.

Better than expected full-year predicted

Total revenue for the half was $49.6 million, up from $42.3 million, with $11.4 million coming from the grant payment made to the club by the Australian Rugby League Commission.

The Broncos' membership numbers had fallen on the previous year, down from 59,583 to 57,265, while sponsorship revenue increased 11% compared to 2024, "due to changes in partnership categories and new partners for the 2025 season''.

The company was predicting a better-than-expected full-year profit result for the full year, but did not specifically consider the impact of winning the premiership.

Based on current forecasts and all things remaining constant, it is projected that the full-year financial results will increase compared to the prior period. However, given the developing nature of a number of items, the 2025 season NRL position relative to the corresponding 2024 position and taking into account the differing number of home games in the first half (eight) and second half (four), it is difficult to accurately predict the full year result.

Other factors which would affect the result included home crowd attendance, player medical costs, and "completion of the 2025 season and commercial opportunities as a result of team performance''.

Brisbane came back to win the premiership despite trailing the Storm by 10 points at halftime and losing Adam Reynolds and Ben Hunt to injury during the second half. There were more than 80,000 fans in attendance.

The company's shares are relatively thinly traded, with 66,684 shares traded by mid-afternoon on Monday.

With the S&P/ASX All Ordinaries Index (ASX: XAO) hovering close to market correction territory, investors have been reminded of the value of regular dividend returns alongside long-term capital growth.

The definition of a market correction is a major index falling 10% from the most recent peak.

The ASX All Ords' most recent closing high was 8,825.1 points on 14 February.

Today, the All Ords is at 8,005.4 points, up 0.49% for the day and down 9.31% since the peak just one month ago.

The fall can be largely attributed to market uncertainty over how the US tariffs will impact global trade, economic growth, and inflation.

So, with capital growth prospects looking pretty grim right now, dividends may be at the forefront of investors' minds.

Following last month's earning season, a bunch of ASX shares will begin trading ex-dividend next week.

If you want to catch any of these dividend payments, you have to buy the relevant stock before it goes ex-dividend.

The Fool does not advocate buying ASX shares purely for their next dividend.

But if you've been watching any of these stocks for a while, and they pass your fundamental analysis test, then perhaps you might like to take advantage of market weakness and pick them up for a bit less while also qualifying for the next dividend payment.

The Brisbane Broncos Limited (ASX: BBL) share price has stepped firmly into the green during early trade on Tuesday.

Brisbane Broncos' shares are now exchanging hands at 84 cents apiece, a 16% jump from the opening of trade.

Let's investigate further.

Quick recap on Brisbane Broncos

Brisbane Broncos is a sports entertainment business that is best known for its ownership of the National Rugby League (NRL) football team of the same name.

The Brisbane Broncos franchise generates revenue from sponsorships and from sales of its merchandise and memberships.

At the time of writing, Brisbane Broncos has a market capitalisation of $71 million.

What tailwinds are behind the Brisbane Broncos share price lately?

There has been no market sensitive information released for the company on Tuesday.

However, the Brisbane Broncos share price has been on the move since the company reported its half year results in early August.

Brisbane Broncos' share price – significant uptick since August to date

Source: The Motley Fool

In its report, the company recognised a net profit before income tax (PBIT) of $3.17 million, a significant increase from $22,000 a year ago.

This came from revenue recognition of $25.34 million in the half year ended June 30 2021, underscored by an NRL grant of $7.2 million and sponsorship growth of 26% over the year.

One factor that is important to note, is that the performance for the same time in 2020 "reflects the unprecedented negative impact that Covid-19 restrictions had on the Group".

However, in saying this, the company's half yearly PBIT for 2019 came in at $1.3 million. This means the company still grew its profitability in 2021 when backing Covid-19 out of the equation.

Aside from these driving factors, there has been no market-moving announcements that relate to the company.

However, the recent uptick in the Brisbane Broncos share price from 27 August does show an interesting correlation to the NRL finals series.

For example, several NRL finals games are scheduled at the Brisbane Broncos' home ground, Suncorp Stadium. This is in accordance with the NRL competition being relocated to Queensland due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

In other words, this is an anomaly for the 2021 season, as the majority of NRL finals games would otherwise be played in NSW venues located in Sydney.

As a result, the group is set to benefit from revenues associated with crowd attendance at this venue, that are asymmetrical to previous years.

Brisbane Broncos share price snapshot

The Brisbane Broncos share price has posted a return of 93% over the year to date. This extends the gain over the previous 12 months to 110%.

Both of these results have outpaced the S&P/ASX 200 index (ASX: XJO)'s climb of around 25% over the past year.

We even have a few newer stocks recently listed on the ASX you may not know about.

New listing Skydive the Beach Group Limited (ASX: SKB) is following on the heels of Indoor Skydive Australia Group Ltd (ASX: IDZ), which listed in January 2013. Skydive the Beach expects to list on the ASX on March 30, and investors will likely be hoping it has similar results to Indoor SkyDive. It was the best performing IPO of 2013/2014 with a 175% return.

Then we also have the existing players, Super Retail Group Ltd (ASX: SUL) – and its Rebel Sports and Amart Sports stores, Avanti Fitness and Workout World – the latter two acquired in 2013. While the company's latest results weren't exactly stellar, Super Retail is expanding its core competencies such as Automotive and Sports into other similar businesses, which could pay off in the long term.

Catapult Group International Ltd (ASX: CAT) which provides sports teams and athletics associations with hardware and software to analyse performance, monitor rehabilitation, optimise training etc. Catapult already supplies most of Australia's highest-profile sporting teams, including Wallabies, Kangaroos and the Australian Cricket team and has a number of contracts with international teams. We've covered Catapult in more detail here.

Follow the NRL? What about the Brisbane Broncos? Yes, you can invest in the company, Brisbane Broncos Limited (ASX: BBL). The company generates revenues from numerous sources including merchandise sales, game tickets and sponsorship revenues and is primarily concerned with the operations of the Brisbane Broncos NRL team.

Last, but not least, Ardent Leisure Group (ASX: AAD) has its Goodlife gyms and Kingpin and AMF bowling alleys. But the gyms business is struggling, primarily as smaller operators open 24-hour gyms in direct competition with Goodlife.

For my money, I'd consider Catapult first, followed by Ardent Leisure and others bringing up the rear.
