AGL Energy Limited (ASX: AGL)
The AGL Energy share price is $8.17, down 0.3% today and down 19% over 12 months.
James Bills from Shaw and Partners explains his buy rating on the ASX 200 utilities share:
The power generator has undergone a significant transformation in recent years.
It's improved the balance sheet, simplified operations and is positioned to benefit from Australia's ongoing energy transition.
The company continues to generate consistent cash flows, while investing in renewable generation and energy storage initiatives.
AGL also offers an attractive dividend yield, providing investors with a combination of income and potential capital growth.
The stock presents an appealing opportunity for long term investors.
Hub24 Ltd (ASX: HUB)
The Hub24 share price is $90.36, up 1.6% today and down 16% over 12 months.
HUB24 operates an investment platform used by financial advisors.
Christopher Watt from Bell Potter explains his buy call on the ASX 200 financial share:
Platform net inflows of $4.2 billion in the fourth quarter of 2026 were consistent with the prior corresponding period when excluding large migrations.
Total funds under administration of $164.3 billion at June 30, 2026 was up 20 per cent on the prior corresponding period.
Management's medium term growth targets remain intact, supporting the case for upside from here.
LGI Ltd (ASX: LGI)
The LGI share price is $2.02, down 2.4% today and down 44% over 12 months.
LGI converts landfill biogas into renewable electricity.
Elio D'Amato from EnviroInvest explains his buy rating on the ASX All Ords utilities share:
Australian carbon credit units give investors exposure to energy generation and methane abatement.
LGI operates across 36 landfill gas sites, including nine renewable generation sites, while 20 sites create carbon credits.
These are established assets rather than laboratory projects, supported by typically long term contracts with councils and landfill owners.
Given operating scale, recurring infrastructure revenues and further suitable Australian landfills available, we rate LGI as a buy in response to recent price weakness driven by a reduction in wholesale power prices in New South Wales and Queensland.
