ALL ORDINARIES finishes lower Monday: 8 shares you missed

The S&P/ASX 200 (Index:^AXJO)(ASX:XJO) and ALL ORDINARIES (Index:^AXAO) (ASX:XAO) finished lower on Monday.

Australia's S&P/ASX 200 (Index: ^AXJO)(ASX: XJO) and ALL ORDINARIES (Index: ^AXAO) (ASX: XAO) indices finished lower on Monday.

Here's a short recap of the Australian market:

  • S&P/ASX 200 (Index: ^AXJO) (ASX: XJO) lower 0.65% to 6,653.00
  • ALL ORDINARIES (Index: ^AXAO) (ASX: XAO) lower 0.63% to 6,746.20
  • AUD/USD at US 70 cents
  • Gold at US$1,414.77 an ounce
  • Brent Oil at US$66.75 a barrel

The best-performing ASX 200 share today was the St Barbara Ltd (ASX: SBM) share price which went up 5.1%.

However, the share price of AMP Limited (ASX: AMP) fell 15.8% after the sale of its AMP Life business seems to fallen through and the interim dividend probably won't be paid.

The Perpetual Limited (ASX: PPT) share price fell 5% after issuing its fourth quarter funds under management (FUM) statement.

The share price of Praemium Ltd (ASX: PPS) jumped 11.25% as it released its June 2019 update to investors.

The Elders Ltd (ASX: ELD) share price was unmoved today because it was in a trading halt for an acquisition and capital raising.

FY19 has only just finished but Djerriwarrh Investments Limited (ASX: DJW) has already released its report, sending the share price down 0.3%.

Another business that was quite heavily in the red today was the Carsales.Com Ltd (ASX: CAR) share price which dropped 4%.

Finally, the share price of Telstra Corporation Ltd (ASX: TLS) fell 2% today, making it one of the bigger declines at the large end of the market.
