Carsales.com has paid twice yearly dividends every year since listing in 2009, and 2021 is no exception. The company has paid an interim dividend of 25 cents per share on 21 April 2021, and a final dividend of 22.5 cents will be distributed on 18 October. Both payments come fully franked.

Yes. Carsales.com offers optional participation in its dividend reinvestment plan for all shareholders residing in Australia and New Zealand. Shareholders can elect to engage in either full or partial participation in the plan. The price at which shares are issued or transferred to participants is decided by the board and can, at the board’s discretion, include a discount.

Carsales.Com Ltd (ASX: CAR) is Australia’s largest online automotive, motorcycle and marine classifieds business. What many Aussies may not know, however, is that Carsales has operations and interests in a range of different automotive classifieds websites in countries across Asia and South America, making it one of the largest digital automotive advertising businesses in the world.
Together with its subsidiaries, Carsales employs over 600 people in Australia to develop leading technology and advertising solutions that drive its business around the world. Carsales’ history dates back to 1997 and the company went on to list on the ASX in 2009. Since then, Carsales shares have grown to become part of the S&P/ASX 200 Index (ASX: XJO) and the company has historically paid a portion of its profits back to shareholders as dividends.
