ALL ORDINARIES finishes higher Wednesday: 8 ASX shares you missed

The S&P/ASX 200 (Index:^AXJO)(ASX:XJO) and ALL ORDINARIES (Index:^AXAO) (ASX:XAO) ended up on Wednesday, here are 8 ASX shares you missed.

Australia's S&P/ASX 200 (Index: ^AXJO)(ASX: XJO) and ALL ORDINARIES (Index: ^AXAO) (ASX: XAO) indices finished higher on Wednesday.

Here's a short recap of the Australian market:

  • S&P/ASX 200 (Index: ^AXJO) (ASX: XJO) higher 0.39% to 6,976.10
  • ALL ORDINARIES (Index: ^AXAO) (ASX: XAO) higher 0.47% to 7,080.90
  • AUD/USD at US 67 cents
  • Gold at US$1,558.11 an ounce
  • Brent Oil at US$54.63 a barrel

One of the best-performing ASX 200 shares today was lithium miner Orocobre Limited (ASX: ORE), its share price rose almost 19%. Fellow lithium miner Pilbara Minerals Ltd (ASX: PLS) also experienced a big share price jump of 11.3%.

Yesterday's release of Cimic Group Ltd's (ASX: CIM) 2019 result sent the share price higher by almost 10% today.

Global fund manager Magellan Financial Group Ltd (ASX: MFG) saw a large rise in its funds under management (FUM) during January, sending its share price up 1.4%.

Reporting season continued today, Alacer Gold Corp (ASX: AQG) saw its share price fall 1.4% after releasing its result.

The Computershare Limited (ASX: CPU) share price rose 1% after announcing the acquisition of Corporate Creations.

Property business Centuria Metropolitan REIT (ASX: CMA) was another to release its result today, its share price increased by 0.3%.

Finally, the share price of Genworth Mortgage Insurance Australia (ASX: GMA) dropped 2.8% after reporting its result.
