There were plenty of big movers on Tuesday that could come under the market's microscope again today. The Mantra Group Ltd (ASX: MTR) share price was among those that soared higher while the Myer Holdings Ltd (ASX: MYR) share price fell.

Meanwhile, the broader market looks set to increase again today after rising 1.3% yesterday.

Here's a quick recap:

  • FTSE 100 (UK): up 0.68%
  • DAX (Germany): up 1.28%
  • CAC 40 (France): up 0.57%
  • Dow Jones (USA): up 0.73%
  • NASDAQ (USA): up 0.6%

The Mantra share price rose more than 12% yesterday following speculation of a potential takeover, although the group confirmed it is not in discussions with any potential buyers. The Myer share price soared on Monday for a similar reason but retreated around 5% yesterday.

Ardent Leisure Group (ASX: AAD) was a big mover as well, as was Aconex Ltd (ASX: ACX).

Today, geospatial mapping business Nearmap Ltd (ASX: NEA) released a business update stating that it is "on track to record its strongest trading quarter in the financial year-to-date with the addition of $3m of incremental ACV (annualised contract value)". It also reaffirmed its full-year guidance for operating earnings (EBITDA).

Infratil Ltd. (ASX: IFT) will hold its annual investor day today, which could draw some attention.

And Sydney Airport Holdings Ltd (ASX: SYD) announced that Kerrie Mather, the group's Managing Director and CEO, has decided to retire. She has served as CEO of the listed company since 2002.
