Australia's S&P/ASX 200 (Index: ^AXJO)(ASX: XJO) and ALL ORDINARIES (Index: ^AXAO) (ASX: XAO) indices finished lower on Thursday.

Here's a short recap of the Australian market:

  • S&P/ASX 200 (Index: ^AXJO) (ASX: XJO) higher 0.05% to 6,259.80
  • ALL ORDINARIES (Index: ^AXAO) (ASX: XAO) lower 0.01% to 6,349.90
  • AUD/USD at US 72 cents
  • Gold at US$1,272.20 an ounce
  • Brent Oil at US$71.61 a barrel

The best-performing ASX 200 share today was the Whitehaven Coal Ltd (ASX: WHC) share price which has gone up 6.4%.

The Kogan.com Ltd (ASX: KGN) share price ended the day up 20% after announcing a number of positives in its March 2019 update. The Eclipx Group Ltd (ASX: ECX) share price increased nearly 3% as investors read about its involvement with Kogan Cars.

The share price of Galaxy Resources Limited (ASX: GXY) plunged 11.6% as investors learned of the lithium business' Sal de Vida negotiation efforts.

The Audinate Ltd (ASX: AD8) share price dropped 5.4% after issuing a trading update which disappointed investors.

The share price of Bubs Australia Ltd (ASX: BUB) rose 10% today with the infant formula company announcing a partnership with Chemist Warehouse.

News of record quarterly inflows was not enough to stop the Hub24 Ltd (ASX: HUB) share price falling by 1.7% today.

Finally, the National Australia Bank Ltd (ASX: NAB) share price rose 0.1% despite the big four ASX bank disclosing another round of costly customer remediation charges.
