Australia's S&P/ASX 200 (Index: ^AXJO)(ASX: XJO) and ALL ORDINARIES (Index: ^AXAO) (ASX: XAO) indices finished higher on Wednesday.

Here's a short recap of the Australian market:

  • S&P/ASX 200 (Index: ^AXJO) (ASX: XJO) higher 0.21% to 5,886.70
  • ALL ORDINARIES (Index: ^AXAO) (ASX: XAO) higher 0.20% to 5,951.10
  • AUD/USD at US 72 cents
  • Gold at US$1,314.82 an ounce
  • Brent Oil at US$61.50 a barrel

The best-performing ASX 200 share today was organic infant formula business Bellamy's Australia Ltd (ASX: BAL), its share price rose by 9.7% perhaps due to a positive broker note.

The Pilbara Minerals Ltd (ASX: PLS) share price went up 5.5% after giving investors its quarterly report.

Shares of iron ore miner Fortescue Metals Group Limited (ASX: FMG) gained 7.75% in value today.

Mayne Pharma Group Ltd (ASX: MYX) shares ended the day down 1.2% after being up during the morning in response to announcing the launch of the Tolsura (SUBA -itraconazole) 65mg capsule in the United States.

The Syrah Resources Ltd (ASX: SYR) share price plunged 13.4% today after announcing its fourth quarter graphite production.

GUD Holdings Limited (ASX: GUD) finished the day down 9%, it disappointed investors with its half-year announcement.

The Credit Corp Group Limited (ASX: CCP) share price dropped 6.7% today, losing some of gains it has made this week.

Finally, the Zip Co Ltd (ASX: Z1P) share price fell 2.6% in response to the quarterly report.
