Whilst tech stars such as Aconex Ltd (ASX: ACX) and Altium Limited (ASX: ALU) may be on the radar of the majority of Australian investors, I suspect that the three fledgling tech companies listed below may not be.

Here's why I think they are worth getting better acquainted with:

Buddy Platform Ltd (ASX: BUD)

Buddy is a provider of highly scalable Internet of Things data aggregation and management infrastructure. Of its three major offerings, the one I see the most promise in is its Buddy Ohm product. Buddy Ohm is a low cost solution for facility resource monitoring and verification. It connects systems that were never designed to work together, helping companies monitor usage and save on energy costs.

Livetiles Ltd (ASX: LVT)

This digital workplace platform provider has been growing at an impressively strong rate over the last couple of years, culminating in annualised subscription revenue (ASR) growth of 292% in FY 2017. Pleasingly, this strong growth has continued in FY 2018. This morning LiveTiles advised that its ASR has reached $5 million as of the end of September, this is a 242% increase on the prior corresponding period.

Swift Networks Group Ltd (ASX: SW1)

Swift Networks is a telecommunications and digital entertainment provider to the resources, student accommodation, hospitality, and aged care sectors. Whilst all these markets are potentially very lucrative, I believe the aged care market is arguably the most attractive due to Australia's ageing population. The company currently supplies its systems to companies such as Regis Healthcare Ltd (ASX: REG) and National Lifestyle Villages. Yesterday Swift announced a reseller agreement with US-giant DXC Technology.
