What else do investors need to know?
The updated mineral resource estimate for Luni reaffirms it as a major critical minerals project, with almost 60% of contained niobium now classified as Indicated. The resource update focused on the western zone, but the eastern area—especially Composite A—shows potential for early stage mining thanks to improved metallurgical recoveries.
WA1 completed construction of the Luni airstrip during the quarter, which should improve site access and logistics for future exploration and development. The company is also continuing studies to inform its Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS), due to be completed in the last quarter of 2026.
WA1 holds a broad portfolio of tenements across the West Arunta and Madura projects, with ongoing stakeholder engagement but no on-ground exploration at Madura or new drilling at West Arunta during this period.
What did WA1 Resources management say?
Paul Savich, Managing Director, commented:
The scale and grade of the Luni resource continues to grow, and the latest testwork results highlight the project's potential to deliver industry-standard product quality with strong recoveries. Our strong cash position and enabling infrastructure improvements set us up well for the next phase of project studies.
What's next for WA1 Resources?
WA1 is pushing ahead with its PFS for Luni, targeting completion in late 2026. Ongoing drilling and metallurgical work are expected to bolster resource confidence and support project optimisation.
Further work will likely focus on refining the resource model, additional testwork in other areas of the deposit, and progressing development planning. The new airstrip and robust cash balance help position WA1 to keep moving toward potential production, while maintaining engagement with Traditional Owners and local communities.
