I'm really looking forward to reporting season this year. I will get to see how well my shares have done over the past six months. Seeing the growth figures is reassuring that an investment idea is on track.

Here are four of the shares that I'm excited to see what the report says:

Altium Limited (ASX: ALU)

The electronic PCB software company's share price has risen by 81% over the past year. The business is flying on the excitement about the 'Internet of Things' growth, which should significantly boost revenue over the coming years.

The share price may have gotten ahead of itself, but I think Altium is going to reveal another set of impressive numbers. It's currently trading at 40x FY18's estimated earnings.

National Veterinary Care Ltd (ASX: NVL)

National Vet Care has shown that it has the capability to integrate its acquired vet clinics into its network.

I believe the market may be underestimating how much revenue and profit growth it will create over the next year. I think full-year contributions from its current portfolio alone should be a big boost for profit.

It's currently trading at 35x FY17's earnings.

BWX Limited (ASX: BWX)

BWX has gone through a transitional phase with the amount of acquisitions that it has made over the past year. I think these businesses will greatly enhance BWX's growth capability, particularly with the presence it now has in the USA.

However, I'm looking for good revenue growth, earnings per share growth and improving margins for the report to be a complete success. BWX is currently trading at 29x FY28's estimated earnings.

WAM Microcap Limited (ASX: WMI)

WAM Microcap has really impressed me with its portfolio growth since it listed in June last year, since inception the portfolio has returned 27.2%. It's likely that WAM Microcap will start paying a dividend and I'm very interested to see how big the dividend will be.

Foolish takeaway

All four of these shares have been good investments for me so far. I plan to hold onto all of them for the long-term, I hope they deliver a good result when they report next month.
