Telstra is one of the largest listed companies on the ASX and provides 18.3 million retail mobile services, 3.7 million retail fixed bundles and standalone data services and 1.4 million retail fixed standalone voice services within Australia.

The telecommunications and information service provider also has a presence in 20 countries around the globe.

What was the original price of Telstra shares?

The Australian government sold the first tranche of its Telstra shares in November 1997. At the time, these were sold publicly at a price of $3.30 to retail investors and $3.40 per share to institutional investors.

Does Telstra pay dividends?

Subject to Board approval, Telstra pays an interim dividend in March and a final dividend in September.
