    Telstra Group Ltd (ASX: TLS) is Australia’s leading telecommunications and technology company, offering a wide array of services including mobile, broadband, and network solutions to consumers and businesses.

    The Australian government sold the first tranche of its Telstra shares in November 1997. At the time, these were sold publicly at a price of $3.30 to retail investors and $3.40 per share to institutional investors.

    Telstra traditionally makes two fully-franked dividend payments to shareholders every year, payable in March and September. The company has also included a special cash payment with its dividend distributions (100% franked) every year since February 2018.

    About Telstra Group Ltd

    Telstra Group Ltd (ASX: TLS) is Australia’s largest and longest-running provider of telecommunications and information products and services. Telstra provides around 18.8 million retail mobile services, 3.8 million retail fixed bundles and standalone data services, and 960,000 retail fixed standalone voice services within Australia.

    As one of the largest listed companies on the ASX, the telecommunications and information service provider also has a presence in 20 countries around the globe.

    In October 2022, it changed its name from Telstra Corporation Ltd as part of a restructuring which now sees Telstra Group sitting at the head of four distinct subsidiaries. These are ServeCo, InfraCo Fixed, Amplitel and Telstra International.

    Mr Blok has almost 35 years of telecommunications experience at Dutch-based landline and mobile telecommunications company, KPN, where he was CEO for seven years until April 2018. Eelco started his career in Finance at KPN before becoming responsible for several businesses including Carrier Services, Corporate Networks and Network Operations. In 2006 he was appointed a member of the KPN Board of Management, where he was consecutively responsible for the Fixed Division, Business Market Wholesale Operations and Mobile International.
