Downer EDI Limited (DOW) is a provider of integrated services in Australia and New Zealand, working with customers to design, build and sustain assets, infrastructure and facilities.

With this, the company operates across a wide range of industries, including transport, utilities, mining, engineering and construction. Downer also owns a majority stake in the formerly ASX-listed Spotless Group, another leading provider of integrated services.

Downer was established in 1933 and following a series of acquisitions, went on to list on the ASX in 1990. Since then, Downer shares have grown to sit within the S&P/ASX 200 Index (ASX: XJO) and the company has historically paid a portion of its profits back to shareholders through dividends.
