What else do investors need to know?

Brightstar is pressing ahead with construction of its 1.5Mtpa Goldfields processing plant, with first gold expected from June 2027. Over the past year, Brightstar consolidated its position in the Sandstone region via M&A and has delivered an 18% growth in its Sandstone Mineral Resource to 2.9Moz gold, with further resource upgrades targeted for late 2026.

The company's recent feasibility studies underpin a multi-asset development strategy, as it aims to establish itself as a top 10 Australian gold producer. Brightstar's balance sheet remains strong, aided by a $193 million equity raise, US$120 million of bond funding, and $209 million of group tax losses available to minimise future tax expenses.

What did Brightstar Resources management say?

Managing Director Alex Rovira said:

Our team is making strong headway on two fronts – delivering construction milestones in the Goldfields, and growing our Sandstone project into a district-scale WA gold camp. With a robust funding package and a resource base of 4.5 million ounces, Brightstar is well placed to become one of Australia's next major gold producers.

What's next for Brightstar Resources?

Brightstar is targeting steady progress on Goldfields project construction, with the new processing plant's commissioning and first gold pour on track for mid-2027. At Sandstone, the focus remains on upgrading resources and advancing pre-feasibility work ahead of a targeted final investment decision by early 2028.

Management expects to ramp up exploration and drilling, with 100,000 metres of programs planned through calendar 2026. The company is aiming for multiple resource upgrades and a maiden Ore Reserve at Sandstone to underpin the next stage of its growth strategy.
