Despite a modest dip today, 4DMedical Ltd (ASX: 4DX) shares remain firmly in 10-bagger territory.
Indeed, the S&P/ASX 200 Index (ASX: XJO) respiratory imaging technology company enjoys the title of the top performing stock on the ASX 200 over the last year.
In afternoon trade on Tuesday, shares are changing hands for $3.24 apiece. That puts the 4DMedical share price up a blistering 1,250% since 28 July 2025, smashing the benchmark index's 2.2% one-year gains.
To put that into some perspective, if you'd invested $5,000 into the technology-focused healthcare stock a year ago, you'd be sitting on $67,500 today.
Boom!
And if you think that the ship has sailed on this strong growth opportunity, you may wish to think again.
That's according to Medallion Financial Group's Philippe Bui (courtesy of The Bull).
Here's why he thinks 4DMedical is well-positioned to deliver more outperformance in the months ahead.

Should I buy 4DMedical shares today?
"4DMedical is an Australian respiratory imaging company," Bui noted. "Its CT:VQ platform uses existing CT scans to improve evaluating lung function amid diagnosing conditions."
Commenting on his buy recommendation of 4DMedical shares, Bui said:
Since CT:VQ obtained US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance in 2025, the company has secured deployments with six leading US academic medical centres.
A bipartisan bill in the US directing the Department of Veterans Affairs to establish a pilot program using 4D functional lung imaging software to identify respiratory disorders and lung disease is an encouraging development.
And Bui didn't sound concerned over the huge share price gains delivered this last year.
"The company is well capitalised and we remain content holders at current levels given several potentially positive catalysts," he concluded.
What's happening with the US Department of Veterans Affairs?
The bipartisan US bill that Bui mentioned above, which could offer ongoing support for 4DMedical shares, was announced to the market on 16 July.
The bill authorises US$20 million (AU$28.6 million) for the 4D functional lung imaging pilot program.
Commenting on the program, 4DMedical founder and CEO Andreas Fouras said, "This $20 million pilot is a landmark step toward improving how respiratory disease is identified, assessed and managed across the US veterans' healthcare system."
Fouras added:
For many years, 4DMedical has been working to ensure veterans have access to better answers, earlier diagnosis and more effective pathways to treatment. The entire 4D team stands ready to help the millions of veterans affected by lung disease, and to support the successful implementation of this pilot and progression onto a larger program.
