About Hutchison Telecommunications (Australia) Ltd
Hutchison Telecommunications (Australia) Ltd (ASX: HTA) is a telecommunication service provider with a 25.05% equity interest in Australia's second-largest telecommunications provider TPG Telecom Limited (ASX: TPG). TPG operates a number of mobile and internet brands including Vodafone, TPG, iiNet, AAPT, Internode, Lebara and felix. Hutchison Telecommunications introduced Australia's first 3G mobile network under the '3' brand in 2003. In 2009, it merged with Vodaphone Australia to form Vodaphone Hutchison Australia. That company merged with TPG Corporation in 2020 to form TPG Telecom.
