About Bank of Queensland Ltd
Bank of Queensland Limited (ASX: BOQ) is one of Australia’s leading regional banks. BOQ provides a full suite of personal financial services including banking, credit cards, home loans, insurance, and online share trading. The company also provides banking products to businesses.
BOQ was established in 1874 as The Brisbane Permanent Benefit Building and Investment Society. It was converted from a building society to a bank in 1887 and adopted the name Bank of Queensland in 1970. In 2021, BOQ has more than 160 branches across the nation and is among the few banks not owned by one of the big 4 ASX banks.
