    Downer EDI Ltd (ASX: DOW) is an integrated services company operating in Australia and New Zealand. The company has a strong focus on urban services covering transport, utilities, facilities, and public assets. Its services and solutions cover the fields of engineering, construction, maintenance, and asset management.

    In 2021, Downer divested the last of its business segments servicing the mining and energy sector. It was part of a restructure to focus on its core urban services business, benefiting from the long-term trends of increasing urbanisation and government outsourcing. It also established Downer Defence, providing services to the Australian and New Zealand defence forces and other government agencies.

    Downer is an ASX 200 company listed on both the ASX and New Zealand Exchange.
