What did PM Capital Global Opportunities Fund report?

  • Raised approximately $221 million from the placement, up from initial plans
  • Issued around 72.1 million new shares at $3.07 per share
  • Placement price represents a 10.8% discount to the prior closing share price of $3.44
  • Placement is not expected to dilute existing holders on a pre-tax NTA per share basis
  • New shares will be eligible for the 7.5 cent fully franked second-half FY26 dividend

What else do investors need to know?

The $221 million capital raise follows significant support from both existing and new wholesale and sophisticated investors. The board has also launched a non-underwritten share purchase plan (SPP) for eligible shareholders, aiming to raise up to $20 million, but has retained the flexibility to accept higher subscriptions if warranted.

Shares issued under the placement are expected to begin trading on the ASX from 20 August 2026 and will rank equally with existing shares. Investors participating in the SPP can apply for up to $30,000 worth of new shares at the same $3.07 offer price. The SPP opens on 21 August and closes on 7 September 2026.

What did PM Capital Global Opportunities Fund management say?

Chair Chris Knoblanche said:

On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Paul Moore and the investment team for their continued commitment to the Company and its shareholders. I would also like to thank our shareholders for their ongoing support. The Placement and Share Purchase Plan announced following year end is an important next step for PGF, with the potential to increase the Company's scale, broaden its shareholder base and enhance liquidity.

What's next for PM Capital Global Opportunities Fund?

Proceeds from the raise will be invested according to the fund's existing global equities investment strategy, managed by PM Capital Pty Limited. The company aims to use the additional capital to pursue further global opportunities, expand its investor base, and support long-term value creation for shareholders.

With new shares qualifying for the upcoming fully franked dividend, the board expects this initiative to further improve liquidity in the PGF share price and promote a more diversified register.
