What did Imricor Medical Systems report?

  • Philips issued a Third Party Product Compatibility Declaration for Imricor's iMR equipment and consumables.
  • The compatibility covers five Philips MR systems and four MR system upgrades running software versions R12.1.1 or later.
  • Imricor's NorthStar Mapping System, Advantage-MR EP Recorder/Stimulator, and diagnostic/ablation catheters are now officially compatible.
  • Imricor and Philips will jointly sponsor interventional MR (iMR) tutorial sessions at the ESC Congress in August.

What else do investors need to know?

Imricor's compatibility milestone means its latest iMR technology, including the NorthStar system, can now be installed at Philips-based sites. This includes prestigious locations such as the German Heart Center of Charité in Berlin, representing a key commercial step for the company.

The partnership goes beyond the technical announcement, as Imricor and Philips will jointly showcase their technology at the European Society of Cardiology Congress. These sessions will help boost awareness and adoption of MR-guided cardiac procedures, offering Imricor more exposure with clinicians and key decision-makers.

What did Imricor Medical Systems management say?

Imricor's Chair and CEO, Steve Wedan, said:

Today's compatibility statement from Philips means we can move to install the latest Imricor technology, including NorthStar, at Philips iMR sites, such as the very important German Heart Center of Charité in Berlin, under the direction of Professors Dr Gerhard Hindricks and Dr Sebastian Kelle. We are thrilled to complete this final step with Philips and progress iMR procedures at Philips-based iMR sites.

What's next for Imricor Medical Systems?

With Philips compatibility officially established, Imricor is set to deploy its NorthStar system and other products at major Philips MR sites, which could accelerate commercial uptake across Europe and other markets.

The co-sponsored educational sessions at the ESC Congress this August may serve to further establish Imricor as a leader in MR-guided cardiac procedures. Management suggests these collaborations reflect not only market readiness but also growing global interest in iMR technology.
