What else do investors need to know?

ALS continued its digital transformation, with 80% of group revenue now managed on a single Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), providing a strong base for future automation and AI integration. The company launched its internal AI Marketplace, already enabling more than 5,000 staff to boost productivity with secure generative AI tools.

Key leadership changes included the appointment of Andrea Vallejo as Executive General Manager, Environmental, and Rajkumar Mathiravedu as Global Executive General Manager, Minerals. ALS also agreed to increase its stake in its Saudi joint venture to 60%, pending regulatory approval.

What did ALS management say?

CEO & Managing Director Malcolm Deane said:

I'm pleased to have this opportunity to reflect on the past year, share our progress, and talk about where we're heading. Our refreshed strategy, investment in technology, and focus on people are building lasting advantages for ALS shareholders, employees, and clients.

What's next for ALS?

ALS reaffirmed its FY27 group outlook, targeting high single-digit organic revenue growth and sustained margin expansion, with a particularly strong pipeline in its Minerals and Environmental divisions. The company expects its Life Sciences businesses, especially Environmental, to contribute more growth in the second half, supported by increased regulation and ongoing digitisation.

Ongoing investment in smart labs, robotics, and AI aims to further lift productivity and client value. Scheduled hub laboratory upgrades, including Sydney and Lima, are progressing, and the strong balance sheet puts ALS in a solid position to capture organic and inorganic opportunities.
