This morning, we published an article entitled "Turn your $550 JobSeeker payment into thousands with ASX shares".

Writing and publishing the article was, though well-intentioned by our writer, a mistake.

We apologise. We're sorry.

The article (and a tweet lnking to it) have been deleted.

The article itself did specify that if the payment wasn't needed to provide for living expenses, investing it may be an option.

While true, in theory, we acknowledge that it's unlikely to be an option, in practice. Futher, while we didn't intend the implication, we accept that it could have been read by some as 'speculate with / invest  with money you might need to pay the bills', something we'd never intend to suggest or convey.

We'll review our editorial policies and procedures. We aim to be better, next time.
