About Qantas Airways Ltd

Qantas Airways Limited (ASX: QAN) was founded in outback Queensland in 1920 and is the world’s third oldest airline. Originally registered as Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Services Limited, Qantas has grown to be Australia's largest domestic and international airline.

It began international passenger flights in May 1935 and is widely regarded as one of the world’s best long distance carriers with a reputation for safety, operational reliability, engineering and maintenance, and customer service.

The Qantas Group's main business is the transportation of customers using two complementary airline brands - Qantas and Jetstar - operating regional, domestic and international services.

The Qantas share price has been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic through 2020, reflecting major uncertainty in global travel markets.
