About Deterra Royalties Ltd
Perth-based Deterra Royalties Ltd (ASX: DRR) is involved in the management and growth of a portfolio of royalty assets across a range of commodities. These are primarily focused on bulks, base and battery metals. Its cornerstone asset is the MAC Royalty, which is a royalty over iron ore produced from tenements of BHP's Mining Area C (MAC) province in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
The agreement provides for revenue-based royalty along with production capacity payments. Deterra also has five smaller royalties including Yoongarillup/Yalyalup, Wonnerup, Eneabba and St Ives. Deterra was spun out from Iluka Resources in October 2020, with Iluka retaining a 20% interest. It is the largest resource royalty investment company listed on the ASX.
