About Aurelia Metals
Aurelia Metals Ltd (ASX: AMI) is an Australian mining and exploration company producing gold, silver, lead, and zinc. The company has two operating mines, two development projects, and a strategic landholding in New South Wales.
The company's Peak Mine produces numerous metals in the northern Cobar Basin in central-western NSW. Its Dargues Mine is a gold mining and milling operation in the state's Southern Tablelands region.
Aurelia's Hera site – also located in the northern Cobar Basin – transitioned to care and maintenance in April 2023. It had produced 3.2 million tonnes of ore since it was commissioned in 2014.
The company intends to use the infrastructure at Hera to process ore from the nearby Federation deposit which contains high-grade zinc, lead, and gold mineralisation. It is forecast to have a mine life of around eight years with opportunities for multi-year extensions.
