ALL ORDINARIES finishes lower Friday: 8 shares you missed

Australia's S&P/ASX 200 (Index: ^AXJO)(ASX: XJO) and ALL ORDINARIES (Index: ^AXAO) (ASX: XAO) indices finished lower on Friday.

Here's a short recap of the Australian market:

  • S&P/ASX 200 (Index: ^AXJO) (ASX: XJO) lower 0.31% to 6,278.40
  • ALL ORDINARIES (Index: ^AXAO) (ASX: XAO) lower 0.26% to 6,366.80
  • AUD/USD at US 74 cents
  • Gold at US$1,207.33 an ounce
  • Brent Oil at US$71.79 a barrel

The best-performing ASX 200 share today was a2 Milk Company Ltd (ASX: A2M), it finished the day up 4%.

Another performer was REA Group Limited (ASX: REA) after reporting another solid year of growth in its FY18 result. However, the share price of Domain Holdings Australia Limited (ASX: DHG) fell by 2.1%.

At the red end of the market was James Hardie Industries plc (ASX: JHX), it dropped 6.5% despite revealing strong growth in its quarterly result.

Beach Energy Ltd (ASX: BPT) shares fell another 3.5% as the oil price fell again during the last 24 hours.

Shares of Baby Bunting Group Ltd (ASX: BBN) rose by 38.5% today after reporting, marking an amazing recovery of lost share value over the past two years. Investors were clearly buoyed by news of a strong start to FY19.

Aventus Retail Property Fund (ASX: AVN) shares fell 0.9% today after it delivered its FY18 result.

Finally, Charter Hall Long WALE REIT (ASX: CLW) dropped 0.7% after revealing a moderate increase to the distribution in its FY18 result.
