About Regis Resources Ltd
Regis Resources Limited (ASX: RRL) is a gold production and exploration company based in Western Australia. The company's main assets are the 100%-owned Duketon Gold Project in the North Eastern Goldfields of WA and the 30%-owned Tropicana Gold Mine, on the edge of the Great Victoria Desert in WA.
Regis also holds the McPhillamys Gold Project in Central Western New South Wales, though the company deemed the project 'not viable' in its current form following a 2024 federal heritage protection order blocking the planned tailings dam location.
Regis wrote down the project's carrying value by approximately $192 million and withdrew its feasibility study as a result, and is pursuing legal action and alternative configurations to potentially revive the project.
