Orora Ltd (ASX:ORA) is a global, diversified provider of packaging products and solutions. The company has solution centres, manufacturing plants and distribution centres spanning seven countries around the world. Orora’s operations are divided into two key regions which are Australasia and North America. The company’s Australian head office is located in suburban Melbourne.
Orora employs over 4,000 people globally and prides itself on being an innovator of the packaging sector. The company’s packaging products include bottles, cans, boxes and cartons as well as rigid and flexible packaging.
In addition to its packaging products, Orora also provides a diverse array of support products and services. These include research and technology, design and innovation, product sourcing, automation and equipment, engineering, and maintenance services. The company also offers an end-to-end range of kitting, fulfilment, logistics and supply chain management solutions.
Orora shares first listed on the ASX in December 2013. Since listing, the Orora share price largely trended upwards until early August 2013 at which point it reached over $4.60. Since then, it has been a predominantly downward trend for Orora shares. The Orora share price has performed particularly poorly since June 2020, shortly after it completed the sale of its Australasian Fibre business to Nippon Paper Industries Co.
