NextDC Ltd (ASX:NXT) is Australia’s leading independent operator of data centres. It has a network of nine data centres located across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, and Canberra. NextDC also operates a partner ecosystem with in excess of 640 clouds, networks and specialty service providers located across the globe.
NextDC's nationwide network of Tier III and Tier IV facilities provides enterprise-class services to a wide range of Australian and international customers including government departments and critical infrastructure businesses. Notable Australian clients have included Optus, Australia Post and Pacnet. The company prides itself on the ability to deliver global standards that adhere to the highest levels of security and energy efficiency.
Established in 2010, NextDC was founded by Australian IT entrepreneur Bevan Slattery who was also behind the set-up of Megaport Ltd (ASX: MP1). The company began with a data centre in Melbourne and Brisbane but began acquiring additional properties in its second year of operation.
2013 marked the retirement of Mr Slattery as well as the company signing a channel partner agreement with Telstra Corporation Ltd (ASX: TLS). DextDC also has partner agreements with Amazon.com, Inc (NASDAQ: AMZN), Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ: MSFT) and Oracle Corporation.
The company first listed on the ASX in 2010 and in June 2020, after only 10 years of operation, the rising NextDC share price saw the company join the ASX 100.

Dr Doyle has had an internationally career with close to four decades of diverse business experience both at executive and board level. Her experience covers a range of industries including logistics, port operations, research, property, financial services, manufacturing, building and construction. Dr Doyle has previously served as the Chairman of PWCS (1998-2009) and Deputy Chairman of CSIRO to 2016, after 10 years of service. Dr Doyle currently serves on the Board of Boral (2010) and Oil Search Limited (2016) with previous appointments having included directorships at GPT Group (2010-19), OneSteel (2000-10), State Super Financial Services (2002-09), Ross Human Directions Limited (2005-10), The Australian Mathematical Sciences Institute (2008-18), Knights Rugby League Ltd (2014-17) and Bradken Limited (2011-15). In many of her roles she has also acted as a member on the Audit, Governance and Sustainability Committees. Dr Doyle's experience also includes appointments at government bodies Austrade (1999-05), CSIRO, Newcastle Port Corporation (2001-02), the National Steering Committee on ehealth and the NSW Innovation and Productivity Council. Dr Doyle was also a Fulbright Scholar (Business Management: Columbia University).

In 1995, he was appointed the Managing Director of News International Plc. After leaving News International in 1998, Doug joined Aegis Group Plc and was appointed as CEO in 1999.From 2005 to 2008, Doug served as the Chief Executive of facilities management provider Rentokil Initial Plc. Dr Clark has corporate and Board experience in Australia, the USA and Europe. Dr Clark was previously on the Board of the ANZ Banking Group where he chaired the Board's Technology Committee and was a member of the Risk, Governance and Human Resources Committees. Dr Clark brings to the Board international business experience and a distinguished career in micro-electronics, computing and communications. He was previously Principal of Clark Capital Partners. During his career, Dr Clark also held senior executive roles at IBM, News Corporation and Loral Space and Communications. At IBM he was a senior scientist in their Research Division in NY. At News Corporation he was President of Technology and on the Executive Committee with responsibility for all technical aspects of digital media creation and delivery. Dr Clark was responsible for News Corporation's transformation of its media assets from an analogue platform into a digital platform for both program creation and delivery. In addition, he was responsible for all technology companies within News Corporation. He was Chief Operating Officer at Loral Space and Communications. While at News Corporation and Loral Space and Communications, Dr Clark was Chairman and/or on the Board of a number of wholly owned subsidiaries including Globalstar, SatMex, Skynet, Space SystemLoral, Kesmai, Etak and others. Ms Lambert was Group Chief Financial Officer of 151 Property (formerly Valad Property Group) for 13 years where her responsibilities included operational and strategic finance, tax, treasury, legal and compliance. Prior to his time at GI Partners and Equinix, Steve held senior leadership positions at Hewlett Packard (2005-2006) which included serving as its Senior Vice President - Worldwide HP Services; Lucent Technologies Inc. (2004-2005), where he was appointed as Vice President, Global Professional and Managed Services and Electronic Data Systems Corporation (EDS) (1987-2004), where he served in a number of capacities including Chief Sales Officer and President, Asia-Pacific. Steve also had a eight-year career in the U.S. Army where, among other roles, he was aide de-camp to the office of the Commander in Chief of the U.S. Armed Forces in the Pacific.
