Netwealth Group Ltd (ASX:NWL) is an Australian fintech company that was founded in 1999. The company prides itself on its entrepreneurial spirit and aims to be an innovator of the financial services sector.
Netwealth is a superannuation fund but also regards itself as a technology company. It provides a range of investment and wealth management products and services. These include investment management tools, superannuation management platforms, administrative tools and managed account solutions.
Netwealth primarily targets wealth management professionals but also works directly with personal investors. The company boasts more than 75,000 account holders and over $25 billion in funds under management and administration. Netwealth has over 300 employees throughout Australia and works with more than 2,500 wealth advisor clients.
Netwealth listed on the ASX on 20 November 2017 to spectacular success. On its ASX debut, Netwealth shares were issued at $3.70 and, within hours of launch, the Netwealth share price had risen to $5.11. Since then, Netwealth shares have continued to perform well, reaching levels above $14 in 2020.
