Gold Road Resources Ltd (GOR) is Australia’s newest mid-tier gold producer with a Tier 1 mine and exploration projects in the Yamarna Greenstone Belt in Western Australia.
The company has a 50:50 joint venture with global miner Gold Fields Ltd for the Gruyere gold mine, one of Australia’s largest and lowest-cost gold mining operations. Gruyere produced first gold in 2019 and according to Gold Road, is forecast to produce an average of 300,000 ounces annually for at least 11 years.
Formerly known as Eleckra Mines, Gold Road Resources shares first listed on the ASX in 2006. As an ASX gold share, the Gold Road share price is tied to the price of the sought-after yellow metal which can be rather volatile through market cycles.
