Cleanaway Waste Management Ltd (ASX: CWY) provides total waste management, industrial and environmental services in Australia and the United Kingdom.
Cleanaway's extensive operations include recycling facilities, transfer stations, engineered landfills, and liquids treatment plants and refineries, along with a fleet of waste, recycling and liquids collection vehicles. With this, the company’s gas-to-energy facilities generate 140 million kilowatt-hours of renewable energy every year.
Cleanaway started out as Transpacific Industries in the late 1980s and was listed on the ASX in 2005. The company eventually changed its name in 2015 to its largest brand, Cleanaway Waste Management. Today, Cleanaway shares sit within the S&P/ASX 200 Index (ASX: XJO) and the company pays a small portion of its profits back to shareholders by way of dividends.

Cleanaway has made two small dividend payments in 2021. The company paid an interim dividend of 2.25 cents per share on 7 April and a final dividend payment of 2.35 cents per share on 5 October 2021. Both payments came fully franked.
