    About Beach Energy Ltd

    Beach Energy Ltd (ASX: BPT) produces oil and natural gas from numerous joint venture projects across Australia and New Zealand. These include the onshore Cooper and Eromanga Basin project, covering one million square kilometres in South Australia, Northern Territory, Queensland, and New South Wales and recognised as Australia's most prolific oil and gas-producing basin. The project accounts for a substantial slice of the company's total production. 

    Founded in 1961, Beach Energy has expanded through a long series of mergers and acquisitions. It has ownership interests in strategic oil and gas infrastructure and assets as well as a suite of exploration permits.

    Mr Woods is a senior executive in the energy sector with over 25 years of professional experience. He has an record of delivering energy projects, cost and operational discipline and growing businesses in the UK, Africa, Australasia and North America. Mr Woods began his career with Woodside Energy in the graduate program and held senior technical roles in Australia and Africa. In 2007, he became Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of African start-up Rialto Energy. In 2013, Mr Woods joined Santos and led the Western Australia and Northern Territory Operating Division, playing a role in the transformation of the Cooper Basin and Gladstone LNG assets. Mr Woods also played roles in the acquisitions of Quadrant Energy, ConocoPhillips' Northern Australian business and Oil Search by Santos.
