About Brickworks Ltd
Brickworks Limited (ASX: BKW) specialises in property, investments, and building products for the residential and commercial markets in Australia and the United States. The company’s building products division manufactures and distributes bricks and other masonry products through a portfolio of brands including Austral, Glen-Gery and UrbanStone.
In terms of investments, Brickworks has a significant holding in fellow ASX 200 share Washington H. Soul Pattinson and Co. Ltd (ASX: SOL), which in turn has a significant stake in Brickworks. In addition, Brickworks owns 50% of an industrial property trust with Goodman Group (ASX: GMG). The company's origins date all the way back to 1934 and Brickworks shares have a long history on the ASX after being publicly listed in 1962.
