About Brickworks Ltd (ASX: BKW)
Brickworks Limited (BKW) is a group that specialises in property, investments, and building products for the residential and commercial markets in Australia and the US. The company’s Building Products division manufactures and distributes a range of bricks and other masonry products through a portfolio of brands including Austral, Glen-Gery and UrbanStone.
In terms of investments, Brickworks has a significant holding in fellow S&P/ASX 200 Index (ASX: XJO) share Washington H. Soul Pattinson and Co. Ltd (ASX: SOL), which in turn has a significant stake in Brickworks. Additionally, Brickworks also owns 50% of an industrial property trust with Goodman Group (ASX: GMG), building and operating a range of property for industrial businesses.
Brickworks’ origins date all the way back to 1934 and Brickworks shares have a long history on the ASX after being publicly listed in 1962. Impressively, Brickworks has grown or maintained its dividend every year since 1976.
