About Ansell Ltd

Ansell Limited (ASX: ANN) is a global leader in health and safety protection solutions. The company operates in two main business segments, healthcare and industrial, to provide a range of personal protective equipment and safety devices.

Starting out from humble beginnings as a condom manufacturer in the early 1900s, Ansell is now known for primarily manufacturing a range of gloves using different materials for varying uses. With this, the company manufactures more than 10 billion gloves per year and protects more than 10 million people each day. Ansell provides protection solutions to more than 25 industries and has customers in over 100 countries across the globe.

In 1969, Ansell was acquired by Pacific Dunlop, an Australian conglomerate that was once one of the largest companies in the country. However, after selling and spinning off most of its businesses, Pacific Dunlop was renamed Ansell in 2002. Since then, the Ansell share price has gone from strength to strength, delivering capital gains to many shareholders over the years as well as income in the form of dividends.
