About Weebit Nano Ltd

Weebit Nano Ltd (ASX: WBT) develops next-generation memory technology for the global semiconductor industry. The company’s flagship ReRam technology is based on silicon oxide, which allows semiconductor memory elements to be cheaper, faster, more reliable and more energy-efficient than current flash technology.

Weebit changed its company name from Radar Iron Limited in 2016. The Weebit share price has tripled after the company reported strong progress in its annual report for FY20 in August.

Dr Nissan-Cohen career covers nearly 40 years of scientific research, technology development and executive management in the hi-tech industry. He is currently Chairman and CEO of Zullavision, a company which leverages Israeli technologies to provide solutions for film and TV productions. He started his career as a research scientist in GE's R&D centre in New York where he had study the use of silicon dioxide in semiconductor memory devices. He then led the spin-off of National Semiconductor's fabrication facility in Israel, establishing Tower Semiconductor, where he served as CEO for nine years. Dr Nissan-Cohen also played a role in establishing a technology startup, Saifun Semiconductor, which was subsequently sold to Spansion. After two years in the venture capital industry, served Chairman and CEO positions in Amimon which provides wireless transmissions of HD Video at zero latency.

Mr Raza is currently the Chairman of Virsec, a Cybersecurity software company. He has served as Chairman of the board at Validity, a biometric solutions company acquired by Synaptics and was also on the board of Seeo, a next generation Li-ion battery company acquired by Bosch. He served on the Stanford University School of Engineering Advisory Council for eight years until 2016. He is an industry veteran and has been in engineering leadership and senior management positions for the past thirty-two years. He was Chairman and CEO of NexGen, the company to challenge Intel in microprocessors. NexGen became a public company and subsequently was acquired by AMD. He became the President and COO of AMD and served on its Board of Directors. At AMD he laid the foundation of its processor business and brought the AMD-K6 and Athlon products to market and had establish the Opteron 64-bit instruction set architecture. Prior to NexGen, he held management positions at VLSI Technology Incorporated, notably the president of Technology Centers Post AMD, he found Raza Microelectronics Incorporated (RMI). RMI was acquired by NetLogic in October 2009 and he served as Chief Technology Advisor to NetLogic. He has been on the boards of start-ups including Mellanox, SiByte, Siara, VxTel and Magma.
