About Vanguard Australian Shares Index ETF
Vanguard Australian Shares Index ETF (ASX: VAS) is an exchange-traded fund (ETF) that gives investors exposure to the 300 shares listed on the S&P/ASX 300 Index. Many ETFs track the ASX 200, but only VAS mirrors the ASX 300. It offers potential long-term capital growth along with dividend income and franking credits.
Operating under the Vanguard Group, the fund was admitted to the Australian Stock Exchange in 2009 and has delivered an average return of 8.35% per annum in the five years to March 2026.
