About Empire Energy Group Ltd
Empire Energy Group Ltd is an oil and gas exploration and production company focused on onshore long-life oil & gas fields, in the USA. The progression of exploration & appraisal work programs in its wholly-owned and operated exploration tenements & applications located in the high petroleum-prospective Northern Territory McArthur Basin including the Beetaloo Sub-Basin. It sells oil and gas products to owners of domestic pipelines, utilities, and refiners located in Pennsylvania and New York. It operates in three segments- United States Operations, Northern Territory, and corporate. The majority is derived from United States operations segment, which includes all oil and gas operations located in the USA. Revenue is derived from the sale of oil and gas and the operation of wells.

He is currently on the Executive of the Australia Korea Business Council. He previously held positions as a Board member of the Australian Petroleum Production & Exploration Association (APPEA), the Australia China Council and the Australia Japan Foundation. In 2023 he retired after 15 years as a member of the Executive Committee of the Australia Japan Business Co operation Committee. Prof Warburton has over 40 years of professional oil and gas experience in operated and non-operated conventional and unconventional petroleum discovery, development and in new business delivery. Prof Warburton has worked in Western Europe, West Africa, Central Asia, Middle East, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, throughout the Asia Pacific Region, including Australia and New Zealand, and most recently in Mongolia. He has resided as an expatriate in a number of these regions. Prof Warburton's career includes 14 years of senior technical and leadership roles at BP. He was Executive General Manager for Exploration & New Business at Eni in Pakistan, and until March 2018 John was Chief of Geoscience & Exploration Excellence at Oil Search Ltd. He has been a Director of Empire's wholly owned Northern Territory subsidiary, Imperial Oil & Gas Pty Limited ('Imperial'), since 2011 and was its Chief Executive Officer from 2011 to 2014. He continues to serve as a Non-Executive Director of Imperial. In addition, Prof Warburton is Visiting Professor in the School of Earth & Environment at Leeds University UK. Ms. Green has 37 years' experience in business advisory services in Western Australia and Northern Territory (NT). She has lived in the NT since 1991 where she was an equity partner in the Deloitte Australian partnership for over 20 years. Ms Green led the private advisory services team in the Northern Territory, South Australia and Tasmania. Ms Green was also the Office Managing Partner at Deloitte in the NT for several years and the 5th female ever to become a Partner in the Deloitte Australia partnership.
