About Coca-Cola Amatil Ltd

Coca-Cola Amatil Ltd (CCL) is the authorised bottler and distributor of The Coca-Cola Company’s beverages in Australia and 5 other Asia Pacific regions. Coca-Cola Amatil also prepares and distributes beverages outside of the Coca-Cola family, taking its portfolio of non-alcoholic beverage brands to a total of 30. With this, Amatil powers a range of popular beverages including Coke, Sprite, Fanta, Kirks, Mount Franklin, Powerade, and Mother. The company also has a portfolio of alcoholic beverages, comprising a mix of company-owned and partner brands across beer, cider and spirits.

The company began life in 1904 as the British Tobacco Company and eventually moved into the Australian food and beverage industry in 1963. It listed on the ASX in 1970 and in 1977, became Allied Manufacturing and Trade Industries Limited - the initials of which form AMATIL. The company went on to acquire several Coca-Cola bottling franchises, attracting an investment from The Coca-Cola Company itself and changing its name accordingly.

Today, Coca-Cola Amatil has access to around 270 million potential consumers through more than 630,000 active customers. Over the many decades, Coca-Cola Amatil shares have grown to comfortably sit within the S&P/ASX 200 Index (ASX: XJO) and is now often favoured by ASX dividend investors.
