About Australian Vintage Ltd (ASX: AVG)
Australian Vintage Limited (ASX: AVG) is one of the largest wine producers in Australia. The company produces four key wine brands in McGuigan Wines, Tempus Two, Nepenthe and the Barossa Valley Wine Company for the domestic and international markets.
Australian Vintage was originally established in 1992 as McGuigan Wines and, after a series of mergers and acquisitions, began trading as Australian Vintage Limited in 2008. This coincided with when the Australian Vintage share price first began trading on the ASX.
Headquartered in South Australia, the company also has offices in Sydney, Melbourne, and the New South Wales Hunter Valley as well as London and Hong Kong.
According to Australian Vintage, the company is at “the forefront of the Australian wine industry” and crushes around 7% of Australia’s total annual wine production. It is involved across all stages of wine production, packaging, marketing and distribution.
Key export markets for Australian Vintage’s award-winning wines include the United Kingdom, Europe, Asia, and North America.
