Since joining Vanguard in 1996, he has served in a variety of roles including working in the Institutional Investor Group as a principal in Malvern, Pennsylvania and Scottsdale, Arizona, and leading the teams that support institutional retirement plan clients across a variety of segments. In 2000, he moved to Japan to assist in establishing and managing Vanguard's Tokyo office, and in 2013, he headed up the combined Shared Services and Defined Benefit Services Group within Vanguard Institutional Investor Group.
