Artificial intelligence (AI) and the increased demand for GPUs has driven massive growth in Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) stock. The chipmaker is currently up an astounding 23,020% over the last 10 years (as of Dec. 26).

If you've been thinking about starting or adding to a position in Nvidia, there's one great reason to do so before Feb. 25, 2026.Â

Nvidia's next earnings report is coming up

Feb. 25 is when Nvidia will announce the financial results for the fourth quarter and its full 2026 fiscal year. The company's 2026 fiscal year ends on Jan. 31.

Nvidia's earnings reports have become more like victory laps. It has delivered 11 consecutive quarters of revenue growth, often in double- or triple-digit percentages. Most recently, its third-quarter revenue reached a record $57 billion, a 62% year-over-year increase. Fourth-quarter revenue expectations are $65 billion, which would mean sales of $213 billion on the year.

Taking a long-term per[spective, Nvidia is also set up for future earnings growth. It has a $500 billion order backlog through the end of 2026, and earlier this month, the Trump administration authorized Nvidia to begin selling its H200 chips in China.

Nvidia is on the expensive side, trading at 47 times trailing earnings and 41 times forward earnings expectations. However, its sales have consistently grown, and the company's GPUs remain in high demand with other AI companies. Considering its next earnings report will most likely bring positive news, if you're going to invest in Nvidia, you might not want to wait too long.Â

Alphabet near $300: Your last chance to buy?

Alphabet (NASDAQ: GOOG)(NASDAQ: GOOGL) has done extremely well for its shareholders this year, and the stock hit a new all-time high of $329 in November. However, after a recent pullback, shares briefly moved below $300 and are still close to that level as of Dec. 19.

Many investors may be wondering if they should buy shares now or wait to see if Alphabet falls further, considering the recent dip in the tech sector. Personally, I wouldn't wait. Here's why.Â

The benefit of investing in great companies

It's hard to find many tech companies as dominant as Alphabet. The holding company is most famous for owning Google, the world's largest search engine, but it also owns the most popular web browser (Chrome), video streaming site (YouTube), and mobile operating system (Android). Among the other businesses that Alphabet owns are Waymo, a self-driving car company, and Wing, a drone delivery service.

Alphabet generated $73.6 billion in free cash flow (FCF) over its past four reported quarters. And even with all of its successes, it remains a more affordable investment than many of the other megacap tech stocks. Trading at 29 times trailing earnings as of Dec. 17, it's the second-cheapest company among the "Magnificent Seven" (which also include Apple, Amazon, Meta Platforms, Microsoft, Nvidia, and Tesla).

Alphabet has historically outperformed the stock market. Based on the strength of its businesses, it looks likely to keep doing so.

This isn't your last chance to buy Alphabet, and truthfully, its share price could go up or down in the short term. The current price might not be the very lowest it will go in the near future. But when you're investing in great companies, you don't need to worry about timing the market. What's important is filling your portfolio with long-term winners -- not whether you bought their shares at $295, $305, or somewhere in that area.

Meta Platforms (NASDAQ: META) had a strong third quarter, but you wouldn't know it from the company's share price. Quarterly revenue increased by 26% to $51 billion, and the social media giant also reported more ad impressions and a higher average price per ad.

Despite that, Meta stock is down 16% since that earnings release (as of Nov. 10). While the company's earnings look good, its spending is sounding alarm bells for shareholders.Â

Investors are worried about Meta's AI spending

Meta has gone on a well-publicized artificial intelligence (AI) spending spree this year. CEO Mark Zuckerberg reportedly offered top AI talent pay packages of up to $300 million for the first four years, and Meta is spending heavily on AI infrastructure. The company's projected 2025 capital expenditures are $70 billion to $72 billion, up from $39 billion in 2024.

Meta has also said that capital expenditures will be "noticeably larger" in 2026 than in 2025. And it has announced plans to invest $600 billion in the U.S. by 2028 for AI technology, infrastructure, and workforce expansion.

The concern is that Meta's massive AI spending won't deliver enough revenue growth to be worthwhile. It echoes the company's failed bet on the metaverse in 2021 and 2022.

Although there are valid worries about Meta, this is still a company with a thriving ads business and a robust balance sheet. The fact that Wall Street is bearish on it right now makes for a good buying opportunity. After all, it did bounce back from its metaverse mishap, and those who invested back then have done very well.

Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) is the most valuable company in the world, with a market cap of about $4.5 trillion as of Oct. 3. Trading at 42 times forward earnings, it's also an expensive stock to buy, which often scares off prospective investors.

While Nvidia will have a hard time matching the 1,320% returns it delivered over the last three years, it could still be a winning stock going forward. Here's why.

Data center spending is projected to soar, which will benefit Nvidia

To meet the ever-expanding computing power needs of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, AI companies are increasing their spending on data centers exponentially. Worldwide data center spending totaled $430 billion in 2024, according to Dell'Oro Group, but it's expected to reach $1.1 trillion annually by 2029.

This is great news for Nvidia, because most of its revenue now comes from the data center market. For the second quarter of Nvidia's 2026 fiscal year, it reported $46.7 billion in total revenue, and 88% of which ($41.1 billion) was related to data centers. This data center-related revenue increased by 56% year over year.

If tech companies continue to invest heavily in data centers, they will need the most advanced graphics processing units (GPUs) to train their AI models. Nvidia is the leading GPU company, with a staggering 94% market share, according to Jon Peddie Research.

It's also worth mentioning that Dell'Oro Group's estimate of $1.1 trillion may now be on the low side. Earlier this year, McKinsey projected that companies will invest $7 trillion in data centers by 2030. Data center spending should continue to drive growth for Nvidia, so it's certainly not too late to invest.Â
