Vicinity Centres (ASX: VCX) is a vertically integrated Australian real estate investment trust (REIT) that primarily owns and manages Australian shopping centres. Its property services include property investment, retail development, property management, leasing and fund administration.
Vicinity is the second largest listed manager of Australian retail property, with $26 billion in retail assets under management across more than 60 shopping centres. The REIT collects rental income from its tenants, which is then distributed to investors as dividends, providing VCX shareholders with a stream of income that is paid every 6 months.
Vicinity Centres shares first listed on the ASX in 2011, and have since grown to sit comfortably as one of the largest companies in Australia on the S&P/ASX 200 Index (ASX: XJO).
